Kelly Osbourne’s cryptic posts since her split from Sid Wilson revealed

Kelly Osbourne has posted a string of pointed messages on social media following her split from Sid Wilson, the father of her three-year-old son.

The pair became engaged last year, shortly before the death of Kelly’s father, Ozzy Osbourne, who died aged 76.

Wilson proposed during Ozzy’s final Black Sabbath show in the UK on July 5, 2025, getting down on one knee backstage in front of the Osbourne family.

However, the relationship reportedly came to an end in March 2026. In the months since, Wilson was reportedly fired from Slipknot on July 31, 2026, after nearly 30 years with the band.

Since the breakup, Osbourne has uploaded several Instagram Story posts that many fans believe are aimed at her ex, although she has not mentioned him by name. Her most recent posts came just days after reports of Wilson’s departure from Slipknot surfaced.

In one of her latest posts, she wrote:

“Wake the f*** up take some responsibility. I will not take you s**t anymore. I’m done.

“I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise.

“Leave me alone. let me heal. I can’t protect you from yourself anymore.”

In another Instagram Story, Osbourne added:

“Also while I’m at it, can I have my dogs back and all my possessions. Oh yeah, and maybe some child support?”

She also reposted messages about protecting her son, including one referencing her child’s ‘little heart’ and another beginning:

“My job is to protect my kids.”

In additional posts shared on August 3, 2026, Osbourne began with cryptic messages about accountability and facing consequences. She wrote: “Strange how the loudest defense of the guilty is rarely innocence… It’s distraction. When the mask slips, they don’t face the mirror they throw it at someone else.” She continued by suggesting those who avoid responsibility might face karmic consequences, concluding: “This is why I always take accountability! As they say some are sicker than others.”

Around the time the relationship ended, Osbourne also shared a quote about forgiveness that she said resonated with her.

It read:

“Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach.”

She captioned it:

“I am in love with this sentence.”

Earlier this year, Osbourne spoke to Closer Magazine about being single and suggested she was content on her own.

“[Dating is] the last thing on my mind. I love being single,” she insisted.

“I’ve got my baby. I’m ambivalent. All men are the same. It’s rough.”

Before her relationship with Wilson, Osbourne had previously been linked to Luke Worrall and Matthew Mosshart, and was engaged to both men.

The 41-year-old has also reportedly dated Rob Damiani, Matty Derham, and Bert McCracken.

According to reports, one factor in the split was Osbourne’s continued grief following her father’s death.

A source told Mail Online:

“Kelly has been struggling following the loss of her father,” an insider told Mail Online.

“The grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she’s been doing everything she can to cope.”

The source continued:

“They tried to make it work, particularly for the sake of their child, but ultimately decided that separating is the best path forward.

“Kelly has endured a great deal over the past year. Despite everything, she remains sober and is now focusing on herself and her role as a mother moving ahead.”

Osbourne and Wilson first met when Slipknot performed at Ozzfest. She was 13 at the time, while Wilson was 20, and the two initially formed a friendship. The pair did not publicly confirm their romantic relationship until they posted Instagram photos on Valentine’s Day in 2022, after knowing each other for approximately 23 years.

Years later, Osbourne hinted that their bond had developed into something more.

In an Instagram Story tagging Wilson, she wrote:

“&& so there’s this boy, And the way he laughs makes me smile, And the way he talks gives me butterflies, And everything about him, makes me happy.”

Their relationship was later made public on Valentine’s Day.

Osbourne wrote:

“After 23 years of friendship, I can’t believe where we have ended up! You are my best friend, my soulmate and I am so deeply in love with you Sidney George Wilson.”

Wilson shared his own message, writing:

“There are not enough colors to display the palette of Love I have for you in my Heart. Happy Valentines Day my Love XoXo.”

Kelly later announced that she was expecting a baby.

She wrote on Instagram:

“I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma.”

The couple quietly welcomed their son, Sidney Wilson Jr., with Sharon Osbourne later confirming the news publicly in January 2023. Their son is now three years old.

Wilson eventually proposed to Kelly at Ozzy’s final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham on July 5, 2025, with both Ozzy and Sharon present. The proposal came less than a month before Ozzy’s death.

After Ozzy died of a heart attack following his battle with Parkinson’s disease in July 2025, Osbourne shared a message about the lasting weight of grief.

She wrote:

“Some grief doesn’t end. It changes shape. It becomes the quiet weight you learn to carry, the ache woven into your days.

“Making it through doesn’t mean leaving it behind. It means finding the strength to live and love and keep going even with forever resting in your heart.”

She also responded to online criticism about her appearance during that period, writing:

“Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings are! No one deserves this sort of abuse!”

The Daily Mail reported in March 2026 that Osbourne and Wilson had ended their engagement after approximately four years together. According to sources, the split was particularly difficult as it came during what insiders described as an “incredibly difficult” period for Kelly following her father’s death.

On July 31, 2026, TMZ reported that Wilson had been fired from Slipknot after nearly 30 years with the band. According to sources close to the band, Wilson was informed late Friday afternoon that he had been permanently removed. However, neither Slipknot nor Wilson has officially confirmed the departure or provided an explanation.

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root posted a cryptic message on Instagram in response to the reports, writing: “Don’t believe everything you read. Stop. Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile. Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there’s more information.” The post cast some doubt on whether the situation was as straightforward as initial reports suggested.

More recent reports from August 3, 2026, suggest that Wilson may have been dismissed due to his behavior toward bandmates. According to TMZ sources, the firing was reportedly a long time coming rather than a sudden decision, and the band had been planning to announce the split themselves before the news leaked.

Now, Osbourne’s recent cryptic posts appear to suggest an acrimonious aftermath, with her expressing frustrations about accountability and control, and including an apparent reference to child support and retrieval of personal possessions.
