Rihanna rocked a wildly colorful, massive headdress with a jewel-dripping outfit with bold cut-outs for Monday’s (Aug. 3) annual Kadooment Day Parade.
Rihanna’s event took place from July 4-Aug. 3, culminating with the Grand Kadooment Day Parade on Monday (Aug. 3), where the 38-year-old stunned in a wildly colorful, elaborate costume covered in jewels, sparkles and peacock-colored feathers, walking, dancing, in the parade, blowing kisses to fans along the way.
Rihanna stepped out in a spectacular custom carnival costume by celebrated Barbadian designer Lauren Austin, the creative force behind many of her iconic Crop Over ensembles over the past decade.
The dazzling creation featured intricate crystal embellishments, bold jewel tones, dramatic feather detailing and a statement headpiece worthy of a carnival queen.
Rihanna wore a turquoise bikini base covered with gold, pink, green, and crystal embellishments, with the masquerade costume featuring a heavily beaded top, body-chain-like details, dangling gems, and a high-cut lower piece.
The outfit had bold cut-outs on the bodice — mostly cut-outs, as the eye-popping piece strategically covered bits of her body with jewels, leaving not much to the imagination.
A towering feathered backpiece in hot pink, turquoise, orange, yellow, green, and peacock tones framed the costume.
Rihanna then swapped out her towering headpiece for a more manageable one before boarding a float to enjoy the festivities at a remove while she waved to fans.
Her matching headpiece added multicolored stones, gold detail, and face-framing ornamentation.
The look meant family time.
She was partying with her brother’s band, Aura.
She jumped with the band Aura Experience for Crop Over wearing a costume from their “Watch the Throne” Collection.
Rorrey Fenty has a reputation for social promotion and has helped build arguably the hottest Crop Over band in all of Barbados: Aura Experience, which sells out of costumes every year since it formed in 2015.
Rihanna, 38, hasn’t attended since 2019.
After her unforgettable return in 2024, her first appearance at the festival in five years, the Bajan superstar was back on the road for Crop Over 2026, reminding everyone why she’s the undisputed queen of carnival fashion.
While Rihanna spends most of her year running billion-dollar businesses and making headline-grabbing fashion appearances around the world, Crop Over is where she gets to simply celebrate her roots, and watching her dance through the streets of Barbados feels less like a celebrity photo call and more like someone having the time of her life with her community.

The festival itself runs for weeks.
Crop Over is Barbados’ biggest and most vibrant carnival celebration, with roots in the 1700s as a party marking the end of the island’s sugar cane harvest.
The contemporary version features weeks of music-driven parties and cultural events leading up to Monday’s Grand Kadooment Day, the massive carnival parade where thousands of citizens don their finest masks and sparkling costumes to dance through the streets of Barbados.
