Alicia Amira, a Danish model and self-described “professional bimbo,” has become the center of attention for her dramatic transformation into a real-life Barbie doll, having undergone more than 40 cosmetic procedures. In recent television appearances, she revealed striking before-and-after photographs that left viewers astounded by the extent of her changes.

When Amira appeared on a recent ITV documentary series hosted by former Love Island star Olivia Attwood called “The Price of Perfection,” she shared photographs of herself before her surgical journey began at age 21. The host audibly gasped when she saw the before images, highlighting just how dramatically different Amira looks today compared to her younger self. In her earlier photos, Amira appeared as a fresh-faced, natural-looking woman with modest features and without the extreme enhancements that now define her appearance.
The 35-year-old has spent between £100,000 and £250,000—approximately $120,000 to $335,000—on her quest to achieve the ultimate Barbie aesthetic. Her procedures have been extensive and varied, including breast augmentations that have expanded from a B-cup to a J-cup, multiple nose jobs, forehead lifts, eyelid surgery, and extensive facial fillers in her cheeks, chin, jawline, and lips. Beyond surgery, she maintains her look with Botox, PDO threads, hair extensions, ultra-long artificial nails, full-body tattoos, and a permanent tan.
Amira began her transformation in 2011 when she left her job in public relations and relocated from Stockholm to London with the explicit goal of becoming a “plastic doll.” She started saving for her first major procedure—breast implants—at age 25 after having experimented with tattoos since turning 18. Unlike many who pursue cosmetic enhancement for natural-looking results, Amira has openly stated her desire to look as artificial as possible.

In interviews, Amira has explained her motivations for the extreme makeover. She said: “To people who really knew me back then, knew what I was like, it wouldn’t be a big shock because I’ve always sort of been quite outgoing and confident and sexual and stuff like that.” She has emphasized that her transformation represents a form of self-expression rather than an attempt to correct insecurity. “I’m just inspired and amazed by blonde women with big breasts. It’s just something that I saw for myself, so I went and got it,” she explained.
She has become notable for her appearances on high-profile television programs. She famously appeared on the reality show “Botched” in 2017, where she asked celebrity surgeons Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif to fix a bungled breast augmentation and then requested additional procedures including a rib removal, a Brazilian butt lift, and an internal corset—requests the surgeons refused. Despite this setback, Amira simply continued her transformation elsewhere.
In 2021, Amira appeared on ITV’s “This Morning,” where she revealed plans to open a “bimbo school” to help other women achieve a similar aesthetic and to reclaim and redefine the term “bimbo.” She has also been featured in the documentary series “Hooked on the Look,” where she positioned herself as a leader of the modern bimbo movement and an advocate for women’s autonomy over their own bodies.
Amira insists she has no regrets about her surgical journey and maintains she is “really happy” with how she looks. She has stated: “I don’t think I will ever stop having surgery. It is a huge part of me.” She even expressed willingness to encourage her future children to pursue cosmetic enhancement if they desired it, saying: “If my daughter really wants big boobs and everything else, then I would take her to the surgeon.”
Her extreme appearance and philosophy have not gone without criticism. Some online commentators have suggested she may be glamorizing body dysmorphic disorder. A 2017 study by the Brazilian Plastic Surgery Society found that people seeking plastic surgery are 15 times more likely to suffer from body dysmorphic disorder than the general population, though no medical assessment has been publicly made regarding Amira’s psychological state.
Today, Amira maintains an active presence on social media with hundreds of thousands of followers and has built a brand around her aesthetic, including an OnlyFans presence and a clothing line called “Be A Bimbo.” She continues to spend considerable sums maintaining her appearance, with reported monthly upkeep costs reaching as high as £3,000. Despite the significant financial investment and the dramatic nature of her transformation, Amira remains committed to her vision and shows no signs of slowing down in her quest for the ultimate plastic Barbie aesthetic.
