Armie Hammer and Reagan Newman have called it quits, sources tell Page Six.
The disgraced actor and social media strategist were photographed kissing at Pace restaurant in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday, June 9.
Hammer and Newman met through a mutual friend who is a stylist, and had been on multiple dates.
A source close to Hammer told In Touch it had been only a few weeks, but noted that Hammer “has a tendency to move very quickly.”
At the time, a source said Hammer was telling everyone in his life “how amazing this girl is and how she’s made him feel like he really can have a second chance in life.”
The romance seemed to be moving at lightning speed.
But the heat fizzled as quickly as it ignited.
Sources now tell Page Six the relationship has ended.
“They cooled it down,” a source said. “It was mutual. It was really hot, really fast and they both had to put the brakes on it. There was no drama.”
The source continued, “He needs to focus on his career and she needs to focus on hers.”
A rep for Newman tells us, “They are still really good friends on good terms.”
Hammer’s camp did not return requests for comment on the split.
Newman is a model, social media strategist and influencer for luxury brands
whose work also extends to fashion styling, luxury fashion coordination, and photo direction. She appears to have moved on from the brief fling relatively quickly.
Newman has been actively documenting her dating life on TikTok, posting videos about getting ready for dates. When a commenter asked her on the platform, “Are you dating Armie Hammer,” she responded “No mama.”
Most recently, she posted herself getting ready for a date at Sunset Tower that was a paid advertisement for the dating app Bumble, suggesting she may be juggling work and romance simultaneously.
Hammer, meanwhile, has been attempting to rebuild his career after years in the wilderness.
He is currently starring in a controversial film called “Citizen Vigilante,” which is scheduled to be released on June 19.
The film marked his first leading role since the sexual misconduct allegations that derailed his career in 2021.
A source in Hammer’s camp told Puck that when he first watched the finished film, he broke down and called someone saying, “F— This is hateful, disgusting.”
Hammer believed he had signed on to a different movie than the one director Uwe Boll ultimately released, telling the source “That was not the movie I thought we made.”
