Halle Berry posted a defiant birthday message alongside sheer robe photos from her Fiji getaway.
The Oscar winner, 59, shared a carousel of images to Instagram on Thursday night while vacationing in Fiji with fiancé Van Hunt ahead of turning 60. Berry wrote, “Today…don’t give a f–k!” The post showed her biting into a chocolate-covered strawberry while wearing only a Soma sheer floral-printed robe trimmed with black lace, priced at $218.

On her left hand, Berry displayed her vintage 1940s engagement ring from Hunt, stacked with a Cartier Love bangle valued at $7,950 and a leather-wrapped bracelet. The subsequent photos captured her adding sunglasses, holding a mimosa, and playing with a wide-brimmed black hat while appearing to wear nothing underneath the robe.
Talk show host Tamron Hall commented on the Instagram post, writing, “Yesssssss.” Another fan replied, “I’ll have what she’s having. Thanks.”
The day before, on Wednesday, Berry had teased the milestone with a different look, posing in a semi-sheer black crochet halter dress and writing, “60 here I come….”
Berry has been documenting her Fiji vacation extensively for weeks, sharing images of herself in sheer robes, caftans, barely-there swimwear, and occasionally skipping swimwear entirely. The trip marks her second consecutive birthday celebration in the South Pacific with Hunt, following last year’s oceanside festivities in Bora Bora.
The “Monster’s Ball” actress has been increasingly vocal about aging and women’s health as she approaches her sixth decade. In a recent interview with The Cut, she addressed feeling marginalized in Hollywood. “Her character rang so true for me. You get to this age where you feel like you’re being marginalized, devalued. You feel it at work. You feel it from society,” Berry said. “But I have adamantly decided I am not going to allow myself to be erased. That’s why I’m on my menopause mission. I’m going to be louder than I have ever been.”
Berry rebranded her wellness company, Rēspin, to focus specifically on women’s health and longevity, launching in 2020 to challenge stigma around menopause and perimenopause. She has been particularly outspoken about vaginal dryness, a topic she believes deserves more open conversation. “Look, it happens to more than 60 percent of women as we get older. Everything gets dry! If we talk about it and laugh about it, there’s no more shame or embarrassment,” she shared. “I’m almost 60. Fighting for women’s health feels like a formidable cause for my second act.”
In the viral moment that preceded this birthday post, Berry had already generated significant attention earlier in her Fiji vacation by sharing a topless photo from the romantic getaway with Hunt. That image, posted weeks before her actual birthday, showed her standing on a beach with her back to the camera, wearing only bikini bottoms and a sun hat, further establishing the uninhibited tone of her milestone celebration.
Berry continues to balance her advocacy work with her acting career, having recently appeared at the London premiere of “Crime 101” on January 28 alongside co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Barry Keoghan, Mark Ruffalo and Monica Barbaro.
Berry’s next scheduled public appearance will be at the Los Angeles premiere of “Crime 101.”
