Ariana Grande, 33, revealed matching “I do love you” ink with boyfriend Ricky Álvarez, 35, at her London tour stop.
The “Petal” singer debuted the new tattoo on her clavicle during the first night of her Eternal Sunshine Tour at London’s O2 Arena, where fans spotted the phrase inked along her collarbone. Álvarez has the same words tattooed in the same spot on his left collarbone, though in a different font. The coordinated body art surfaced just days after Grande made the relationship Instagram-official on Aug. 12.

Grande teased the design in an Instagram post on Aug. 12, writing the words “I do love you” in quotes alongside photos of herself hugging Álvarez. In the same post, she went public with the rekindled romance, sharing images of the couple in matching white tops. Álvarez reshared the post on his Instagram Stories.
The phrase could reference the 1965 Billy Stewart song “I Do Love You,” which features lyrics including “I do love you, yes, I do now” and “Pretty little baby said, I want you to try / To understand a that I, that I, that I / I want to be your lover man.”
During her first London show, Grande told the sold-out crowd: “I’m so grateful to be doing this with you all… These 10 dates are the last stop on this tour.” She later added: “You’ve shown me so much love so I want to say thank you.”
The tattoo reveal caps a month of growing public confirmation about the rekindled relationship. In July, Page Six exclusively reported that Grande and Álvarez had reunited following her breakup with Ethan Slater. The pair were spotted spending the July 4 weekend together in Boca Raton, Florida, grocery shopping at Whole Foods.

Earlier in the tour, Grande had hinted at the romance through lyric changes. During performances of “Thank U, Next,” she altered the line “wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh” to “wrote some songs about Ricky, we always find our way back,” fans noted.
Álvarez first joined Grande’s team as a backup dancer for her 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards performance of “Problem,” then stayed on for her Honeymoon Tour in 2015. The two began dating that year, with their relationship becoming public after a surveillance video showed them kissing in a doughnut shop. They split in July 2016.
Grande has a well-documented history of commemorating relationships through tattoos. She and “Wicked” co-star Cynthia Erivo share multiple matching designs, including one reading “For Good.” During her whirlwind 2018 engagement to Pete Davidson, the pair got several coordinated tattoos, most of which have since been removed or covered. She also has an “E” for her character Elphaba and an ode to “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” among her more than 50 inkings.
In the viral moment that first brought Álvarez into Grande’s public orbit, a 2015 surveillance video from Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California showed the pair licking unpurchased doughnuts on a display counter while the shop was closed to customers. Grande was heard saying “I hate America” in the footage, which sparked widespread backlash. She later apologized, explaining she was frustrated by childhood obesity rates and the food industry’s marketing practices. The incident led to a temporary health department investigation and became one of the more bizarre controversies of her career.
The rekindled romance follows Grande’s split from Slater, her “Wicked” co-star, earlier this year. She was previously married to real estate agent Dalton Gomez from 2021 until their separation in 2023.
Grande recently announced she will step back from public-facing work after completing the Eternal Sunshine Tour. During a Chicago stop, she addressed the decision directly to fans in a speech shared on her Instagram Story: “Basically the announcement that was made yesterday was not a reactive or impulsive thing. It’s something that I have decided. It’s a plan that I have quietly made a long time ago. It’s a decision I was making from a thoughtful and empowered place.”
She continued: “I want you to know that many, many things can be true at the same time. Boundaries can need to be set. Human beings can need a break sometimes. And also this can be and will continue to be the greatest experience of my professional and creative life.”
The London run marks the final leg of Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour, with nine more sold-out shows at the O2 Arena before she takes her planned hiatus from visibility.
