Scarlet Vas has announced she is pregnant with her second child with husband Tayo Ricci.
The former Neighbours star, 31, and Ricci, 28, shared the news on Instagram this week, posting ultrasound photos alongside their daughter Silva, who was born in December 2024. Vas and Ricci married in Mykonos, Greece in September 2023, and their new baby will be the couple’s second child together.
Taking to Instagram, the couple wrote, “We couldn’t keep this a secret any longer…” As they held up ultrasound images and cradled Silva in the announcement post. Ricci also rubbed his wife’s belly in one of the photos.
Vas had been dating Ricci for some time before announcing in June 2021 that she had “fallen in love” with him. The pair met as teenagers in Australia through mutual friends when they were about 13 years old, and their families grew close after their parents began dating each other. This connection has led Vas to refer to Ricci as her “step-brother” from time to time, though they are not blood related.
Appearing on the Uncensored Podcast in May 2023 to discuss her career switch to OnlyFans, Vas addressed their dynamic directly. “I mean the fans love us as like a thing or not a thing. He’s my step-brother and Australian and we’ve known each other for a very long time,” she said.
The couple have faced online scrutiny over their relationship, but Vas previously told News.com.au that the criticism does not bother them. “Honestly, it doesn’t affect us because we have each other,” she said. “I don’t really read our comments section, but if I do, I actually laugh. We find trolls very entertaining.”
She added, “If something’s really negative, we might comment back, we find it is quite a good disarming tactic.”
Vas has been open about her lucrative career on the adult subscription platform OnlyFans, where she has said she earns in the top 0.01% of creators. On a good month, she explained, she makes around $200,000. Ricci frequently appears in her content, and the couple has leaned into their step-sibling narrative for their online presence.
Back in 2021, Vas released a viral video titled “I fell in love with my bf’s best friend… Who happens to be my step-bro,” which helped propel their relationship into the public eye. She has repeatedly emphasized that they are not blood related.
“We were about 13 years old when we first met through mutual friends, our families knew each other and they introduced us I guess you could say. So we’ve known each other for a very long time,” she explained to News.com.au.
In the viral moment that first brought widespread attention to their relationship, Vas posted the 2021 TikTok video about falling for her then-boyfriend’s best friend, who she revealed was her step-brother. The clip sparked headlines and debate online, but the couple continued to build their social media following and eventually launched their OnlyFans career together. They married in Greece in 2023 and welcomed daughter Silva on Christmas Day 2024, with Ricci posting on Instagram at the time, “Our Christmas miracle has finally arrived. Merry Christmas from our family to yours.”
After announcing baby number two, Vas said she was “jumping,” presumably with joy, as congratulations poured in from followers and friends. The couple’s first child, Silva, was born just months ago in December 2024.
Australian audiences first came to know Vas as police officer Mishti Sharma on the long-running soap Neighbours, where she appeared in nearly 200 episodes from 2017 until she left the role in October 2018. She has since built a massive social media presence, with millions of followers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The family currently resides in Los Angeles, where they continue to create content together.
