“Below Deck Mediterranean” star Nathan Gallagher was arrested on domestic violence charges in Australia last December.
Police officers arrested the reality star, 30, on Dec. 27 for allegedly assaulting a 29-year-old woman at an apartment complex in Sydney, according to a police memo. Gallagher was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault. He was granted conditional bail, and his plea status remains unclear.
Though the woman in the case is unnamed in police documents, his fellow “Below Deck” castmate Gael Cameron — with whom he shares 1-year-old son Kayden — filed an Apprehended Violence Application against Gallagher, according to court records. An Apprehended Violence Application is meant to legally protect a person from someone who is stalking, harassing, intimidating, or threatening them with harm, per the New South Wales court system.
A hearing for the case is set for Sept. 1.
Gallagher and Cameron, now 30 but 29 at the time of the alleged incident, first appeared on Season 9 of the “Below Deck” spinoff “Below Deck Mediterranean” as deckhands and struck up a romance that played out on screen. Their relationship continued after filming, and they welcomed son Kayden in June 2025.
Fans of the show noticed that the two no longer follow one another on Instagram, though Gallagher’s romantic posts of Cameron remain visible on his account. His last post about her was in September 2025, when he shared photos of her and wrote, “You in every lifetime ❤️.”
Cameron, meanwhile, has continued posting about her life with their son. On Tuesday, she shared video of them enjoying a tennis event in Sydney.
“Seeing the world through a one-year-old’s eyes hits different,” she wrote on Instagram, adding that to them “everything’s exciting, everyone’s a friend and nothing is off limits until mum redirects.”
In the viral moment that preceded the legal case, Gallagher had become emotional on “Below Deck Mediterranean” after falling ill and choosing to stay away from Cameron and their son during filming. The couple’s on-again, off-again relationship was a central storyline of Season 9, with Cameron admitting in a Bravo preview clip that she was drawn to Gallagher but afraid of history repeating. Their boatmance defied the show’s typically fleeting hookup culture, extending into a real-world relationship that produced a child and continued public appearances together before the December arrest.
Bravo has not commented publicly on the charges.
Gallagher’s next court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 1 in Sydney.
