KJ Biermann, the 15-year-old son of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, has been arrested on charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery.
The teen was taken into custody following allegations from a female classmate who accused him of assaulting her in a gym changing area on April 23, according to reports that emerged Friday. Zolciak, 47, and Biermann, 40, have been embroiled in a bitter divorce battle since 2023, and the arrest marks the latest crisis for the fractured family.
Zolciak’s representative and KJ’s lawyer did not immediately respond to requests for comment when news of the arrest broke. The charges carry serious weight in Georgia, where aggravated sodomy is classified as a felony that can result in significant prison time upon conviction.
The arrest comes amid ongoing turmoil between Zolciak and Biermann, who separated in May 2023 after 12 years of marriage. The exes share four minor children: KJ, Kash, 13, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11. Zolciak also has two older daughters, Brielle, 28, and Ariana, 24, from previous relationships, whom Biermann legally adopted.
In recent months, Zolciak has spoken publicly about the difficulty of co-parenting with her estranged husband. “I don’t know if it’ll ever be over. I wish it would be over tomorrow,” she said in November while attending BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas. “It’s just difficult. I’ve never not been able to coparent with my ex and things like that.”
The family’s troubles have been well-documented in the public eye. In November 2023, police responded to a domestic disturbance call at the couple’s Georgia mansion after one of their children dialed 911 during an explosive argument. Bodycam footage captured Biermann screaming at officers about their destroyed life, yelling, “Our life! Our life and its f—– destroyed!!!” And accusing Zolciak of infidelity. Zolciak later denied his claims, stating on social media, “I vehemently deny any allegation that I have been unfaithful to Kroy at any point in our 12 year marriage.”
The Biermann family has faced other legal challenges in recent years. Ariana Biermann, now 24, was arrested in August 2022 for driving under the influence after a car crash in Georgia. She later pleaded guilty to reckless driving and possession of drug-related objects, receiving 24 months probation, $2,000 in fines, and 40 hours of community service. Her probation was terminated early in December after she completed all court-imposed terms.
In the viral moment that defined the family’s public unraveling, Kroy Biermann’s November 2023 rant to police included the accusation that Zolciak was “f—- other men,” which she forcefully denied. She called his claims “downright false, baseless, and slanderous” and indicated her legal team would address “any other allegations made from any videos that are in the press.”
Zolciak has since moved on romantically, revealing at a BravoCon panel that she began dating a man named Kyle approximately two years after filing for divorce. “I never saw myself with anybody else,” she said. “It was about two years after I filed that I met Kyle, and he went through a very similar situation as me.”
Ariana Biermann told Us in April that she remains protective of her mother through the prolonged divorce proceedings. “It’s been a really long divorce — two and a half f—ing years, and it’s still not even almost done,” she said. “She’s my best friend in the world.”
