Ivanka Trump took a spill while surfing during her family’s latest Costa Rica getaway.
The former first daughter, 44, was photographed hitting the waves on a green surfboard alongside an instructor on Sunday, according to the source material. She wore a white wetsuit top and black bottoms with her hair styled in a braid for the athletic outing.
At one point during the session, Trump lost her balance and wiped out into the ocean. She didn’t appear bothered by the fall, quickly getting back up to try again.
Her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three children — Arabella Rose, 13, Joseph Frederick, 10, and Theodore James, 8 — were not seen at the surf spot. However, Ivanka had given followers a peek at the broader family trip earlier through social media.
“Summer Snaps,” she captioned a photo dump posted to Instagram last week. The images showed her posing with Kushner and their kids as they spent time in nature and on the golf course. She appeared in good spirits throughout the shared moments.
Costa Rica has become something of a regular destination for the Trump-Kushner family. The businesswoman and former White House advisor has made a habit of catching waves during these Central American visits.
The last time Ivanka was photographed surfing was in April 2025, when she was spotted on a blue board. Her children watched from nearby, lounging on a board of their own while observing their mother in the water.
During that same April trip, she took a mini surf lesson with an instructor on the sand, appearing to review some basics before heading back into the ocean. She hit the waves multiple times that week.
One of those sessions included a family beach day with her sister-in-law Karlie Kloss, who is married to Joshua Kushner, Jared’s brother. Ivanka beamed in the ocean while wearing an orange two-piece swimsuit as Kloss and Joshua watched from the shore, mingling and eating with others in the group.
