Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird is weighing legal action after a Georgia private school revoked her 8-year-old daughter Ella’s acceptance over the reality star’s OnlyFans content.
Efird, 26, said that administrators called her into a meeting last Friday and informed her they were withdrawing Ella’s spot because her social media presence did not align with the school’s values. The “Mama June: From Not to Hot” star said the school also told her they would refund her money.
“I believe Ella deserved better than to be sitting outside in the front office, completely unaware that she was essentially being rejected from a school she was so excited to attend because of my social media presence,” Efird wrote on Facebook.
“At the very least, the situation could have been handled with more transparency and consideration,” the We TV star added in the same post. Efird said she was personally upset that the school made her continue with the admissions process without once raising her social media as an issue.
Efird said she fired back at school employees during the meeting: “Now that I know you guys are this judgy, my child doesn’t need to be here anyway,” She told the outlet she may file a lawsuit because she believes the school should have disclosed any problem with her OnlyFans account before accepting Ella into their program.
The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum launched her OnlyFans account in March. Earlier this month, she revealed she would be beginning “hardcore” content on the subscription-based platform, including girl-on-girl action that may turn into a threesome with her boyfriend, Darrin Kitchens.
OnlyFans has proven lucrative for Efird. She said she rakes in between $14,000 and $15,000 per day.
Efird’s mother, Mama June, expressed reservations about her daughter’s new gig. “All money ain’t good money,” she said. The Shannon family matriarch also voiced concern for her grandchildren, who will eventually come across their mother’s content when they’re older.
Efird revealed that Ella will now be homeschooled.
