Jennifer Lawrence has ruled out buccal fat removal because fans would instantly clock the procedure.
The Oscar winner, 36, made the confession in a new Vogue interview where she unpacked her entire approach to cosmetic tweaks under Hollywood’s unforgiving spotlight. The “Hunger Games” star admitted she is tempted by the sculpted, hollowed-cheek look that has become one of the industry’s most divisive trends, but the glare of fame makes it impossible to act on.
“I mean, I would love to have a buccal fat removal,” Lawrence said. “I can’t because everybody would know, but just know that I want that.”
The procedure surgically extracts fat pads from inside the lower cheeks to carve out a more chiseled cheekbone structure. While Lawrence is sitting that particular trend out, she was open about the preventative treatments she does embrace. She confirmed she regularly gets “baby Botox,” a technique using micro-doses of botulinum toxin that softens fine lines without fully freezing facial muscles.

“I need to have movement in my face — I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot,” she explained, stressing that staying expressive matters for her on-screen work.
Lawrence’s frankness arrives after years of relentless online speculation about her appearance. Fans and commentators have repeatedly accused her of secret procedures, including a blepharoplasty and a nose job, particularly when red carpet appearances showed her looking more sculpted than in her early twenties.
The actress previously swatted down those rumors during a viral conversation with Kylie Jenner, crediting her longtime makeup artist Hung Vanngo and the simple passage of time.
“I also think it’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung, who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery,” she said during that exchange.
“I’m like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m using makeup.’ I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30 and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging.'”

This is not the first time Lawrence has spoken publicly about surgical procedures. In an October interview with The New Yorker, she revealed she was considering breast enhancement after giving birth to her second child with husband Cooke Maroney.
“Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one,” she said of the couple’s first child, Cy. “Second one, nothing bounced back,” she added, referring to her second son born in April whose name has not been shared.
Lawrence noted that fame amplifies her interest in the procedure, conceding she “wouldn’t be hustling to the appointment in the same way” without the spotlight. She maintained, however, that she would still consider the surgery even as a non-celebrity.
