Julianna Zyra has begged her missing husband to “please, come home” after he vanished from their upstate New York home.
Dominick Bianchi, 35, was last seen Tuesday morning at the couple’s residence on Forrest Pointe Drive in East Greenbush, a town just south of Albany. He left behind his cellphone, wallet and car, according to the East Greenbush Police Department.
Zyra, who married Bianchi just months ago, spoke directly to her husband through a News 10 interview. “Whatever it is that’s going on, there are so many people who care about you want you to be OK,” she said.
“I know you feel really alone, but there are people who want to help you. If you’re seeing this, please, come home.”
The newlywed told the outlet that Bianchi has been battling mental health issues “for quite some time.”
Zyra also pushed back against online speculation about his disappearance. “It’s not fair. And I really wish people would stay off the internet, hypothesizing things that happened, he’s very sick and he is not in the right headspace,” she said.
Complicating the search, Bianchi has type 1 diabetes and may be without his insulin. “He has a continuous glucose monitor, which is paired to his phone that he doesn’t have,” Zyra explained.
Police described Bianchi as 5-foot-11-inches tall. He was wearing black sweatpants, a black long-sleeve shirt and possibly a baseball hat when last seen around 10 a.m. Tuesday.
He has several distinctive tattoos: a skull and roses on his chest, a baseball on his right arm, and a cross on his back.
The East Greenbush Police Department has asked residents in the area to check their properties, sheds, cars, trail cams and any home surveillance for signs of Bianchi.
