Selena Gomez turned the 2026 Emmy Awards red carpet into her own gilded runway on Monday night.
The 34-year-old actress and executive producer arrived solo at the ceremony in a strapless Louis Vuitton gown that pooled around her feet in a dramatic mermaid silhouette, with the beaded golden design fanning outward at her waistline. Zanna Roberts Rassi teased the look on E! Ahead of Gomez’s arrival, sharing that the star’s stylist Erin Walsh had assured her the dress only looked impossibly heavy.
“it looks like it weighs a billion pounds, but it’s actually light as a feather,” Walsh told Rassi, according to Rassi’s on-air preview.
Gomez accessorized with Tiffany & Co. High jewelry, including a Jean Schlumberger Bird on a Rock by Tiffany Feathers bracelet and matching earrings, plus Schlumberger rings valued at $18,000, $65,000 and $26,000. The overall effect prompted Roberts Rassi to declare her “goddess energy.”
Her hair struck a looser note, with very relaxed curls that seemed to carry over from her summer-at-sea in Italy with husband Benny Blanco. Though the couple had spent time abroad together, Blanco’s presence inside the ceremony remained uncertain as Gomez walked the carpet alone.
This marks Gomez’s fourth Emmy ceremony appearance and her first nomination as an executive producer, recognized for her work on “Only Murders in The Building.” The Hulu series faces stiff competition in its category against “Hacks,” “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” “Nobody Wants This,” “Shrinking” and “Widow’s Bay.”
Gomez has developed a pattern of statement-making Emmy fashion. She opted for a bright red Louis Vuitton halter gown at the 2025 ceremony, while her 2024 appearance featured a semi-sheer Oscar de la Renta design covered in nearly half a million sequins. She frequently favors long, sheath silhouettes that follow her frame closely for the awards show.
The golden theme has become something of a through-line in her recent formalwear. In June, she attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in a gold Oscar de la Renta gown, and she wore Ralph Lauren for her own nuptials to Blanco nearly one year prior.
