Philadelphia police are now examining more than one million images seized from a home once owned by an infamous pornographer, as a fifth missing woman has been identified in the sprawling investigation.
The FBI has increased its agent count on the case tied to the former Olney, North Philly residence of Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, a deceased erotic photographer and convicted meth producer, and his son Eugene Horsch, 44, according to authorities. The younger Horsch was arrested June 19 in Center City, Philadelphia, on suspicion of impersonating federal agents and possessing firearms with erased serial numbers.
Nicole Fusaro, who was 27 when she disappeared in 2018, is the latest woman connected to the property, family members and police said. Her cousin, Jonathan Halloran-Koren, has been meeting with Philadelphia police detectives alongside other relatives.
“Nicole was a beautiful, kindhearted woman who deserved so much better than what happened to her. She will forever be loved and missed by her family and friends,” Halloran-Koren said.
Investigators have not confirmed whether Fusaro appears in an explicit “snuff movie” discovered in August showing R.C. Horsch strangling an as-yet publicly unidentified woman. Police said they have identified a family member of that victim and informed them that the film was shot inside the house.
The elder Horsch died in 2025 at age 82. He was a self-described “sociopath” believed to have lured vulnerable female drug addicts to his home.
The arrest that sparked the investigation came when Eugene Horsch was found in a vehicle with a woman carrying a fake ID for Blair Tonzelli, a healthcare aide who disappeared from Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood in February 2023 at age 35. A bank card in Tonzelli’s name was later found inside the Horsch home. A friend had previously said Tonzelli described Eugene as a “sociopath” who spoke of dissolving bodies to flush down the toilet.
Police have also linked snuff movies to two other missing women: Gabrielle Amarando, 22, last seen in 2012, and Maribel Fresses, 27, last seen in 2018. R.C.’s ex-wife, Amy McHale, 44, who vanished in June 2016, is the fifth woman connected to the house.
The evidence haul from the property includes 50 seized hard drives, vats of mysterious chemicals purchased by Eugene, and disturbing writings. Documents include an unsigned handwritten note referencing serial killer Ted Bundy alongside methods for disposing of trash. Investigators are continuing to examine the sewers beneath the property.
Eugene Horsch was indicted in July on the gun and fake credentials charges. He has not been charged with any crimes related to the five missing women.
