Taylor Swift brought a full family cheering section to Arrowhead Stadium as she rooted for Travis Kelce in his second game since their July wedding.
The Grammy winner, 36, sat with her parents, Scott Swift and Andrea Swift, and her new mother-in-law, Donna Kelce, for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Sunday night matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Kansas City, Missouri, according to photos from the game. The “Blank Space” singer wore a Chiefs tank top and was seen playfully flashing her wedding ring in social media images from the stands.
Swift’s attendance came just six days after she watched the Chiefs’ season opener against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. That earlier game placed her in a VIP suite alongside Tom Cruise, 64, where the two stars struck up a conversation about football.
Cruise opened up about the exchange during Thursday’s episode of “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon. Fallon had asked what happens “when the biggest movie star in the world is sitting next to the biggest artist in the world.”
“She was bringing the football. First of all, she’s a genius,” Cruise gushed while recalling the conversation.
“I hadn’t been to a football game since pre-COVID,” he explained. “So to get to hang out there and have that moment, it was a lot of fun … she knows her stuff.”
During their chat, Swift told Cruise that she entered her relationship with Kelce without any football knowledge. Cruise laughed while sharing her words with Fallon: “You know, he’s so patient.”
“I’m sure he was,” Cruise replied.
“I think everybody would be very patient [with her].”
Swift’s rapid education in the sport has been well-documented throughout her relationship with Kelce, which became public in September 2023 when she appeared at Arrowhead Stadium alongside Donna Kelce to watch the Chiefs face the Chicago Bears. She has since become a regular presence at Chiefs games, including the team’s Super Bowl LVIII victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
The couple confirmed their engagement on August 26, via an Instagram post after two years of dating. They wed over the July 4th weekend at Madison Square Garden in a ceremony with approximately 1,000 guests. Swift wore a Christian Dior haute couture gown for the occasion, while Adam Sandler officiated and her brother Austin Swift served as her “man of honor.” Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce, stood as his best man.
Two months into marriage, the pair are adjusting to their new chapter while managing demanding careers. A source said in August that “they both still light up when they refer to each other as husband and wife, and there’s something really exciting and special about that for them.”
“They’re just incredibly happy to be in this next chapter together and are enjoying figuring out what their new normal looks like,” the source added.
