Nathan Gallagher has broken his silence on his domestic violence arrest after Bravo cut ties with the “Below Deck Mediterranean” star.
Gallagher, 28, addressed the allegations in a statement last month after skipping his Sept. 1 court hearing in Australia and facing an arrest warrant there. The former bosun was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault following a December 2025 incident at a Sydney apartment complex. The alleged victim was later revealed to be his ex-girlfriend and co-star Gael Cameron, 30.
“I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes, and I will take responsibility for my own actions,” Gallagher said in his statement. He continued, adding that he would not accept “being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship, when there is another side and evidence relating to it.”
Gallagher pointed to “contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records” as part of that evidence.
Bravo has formally ended its relationship with Gallagher. “Bravo does not plan on working with Nathan in the future,” a network spokesperson said on Sep. 5. The cable channel has no plans, however, to edit Gallagher out of the current season’s footage, according to the same spokesperson.
Cameron, who shares son Kayden with Gallagher, broke her silence on her ex’s arrest earlier this month through her Instagram Stories. “Hey guys, I just want to say thank you so much for the support you’ve shown for Kayden and I,” she wrote. She added: “It’s been a tough season, but I have been using the past few months to quietly heal and rebuild for little man and myself.”
The couple welcomed their son shortly before production began on Season 11 of “Below Deck Mediterranean,” which filmed during the summer of 2025. The season wrapped before Gallagher’s arrest in Australia.
Monday’s episode of the Bravo series offered a tense preview of Gallagher’s behavior months before his legal troubles became public. The bosun planned a crew dinner in Croatia with Cameron, who confronted fellow deckhand Joe Bradley, 29, about his tension with Gallagher during the car ride home.
Bradley laughed at Cameron and called her comments “so crazy,” prompting Gallagher to intervene. “I can turn that smirk into a frown really fast,” Gallagher yelled at Bradley. Bradley fired back: “What, because you’re going to f–king come at me?” The episode ended on a “To Be Continued” cliffhanger.
The domestic violence charges stem from the December 2025 incident in Sydney, where Gallagher allegedly attacked Cameron at the apartment complex. Police obtained a report detailing the allegations, and Gallagher now faces an active arrest warrant in Australia after failing to appear for his scheduled court date.
The network’s decision to sever ties with Gallagher marks a rapid fall for the reality star, who appeared to be building a family with Cameron during filming. Cameron has focused on her son in her public statements, emphasizing healing and rebuilding rather than addressing the specifics of the allegations.
