Bunnie Xo fired back at critics of her new romance this weekend.
The 46-year-old podcaster, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, posted a Saturday Instagram video showing herself with Dylan Wolf, 24, at a Waffle House location. The clip drew a wave of comments attacking the pair’s 22-year age gap, prompting her to issue a direct response to her followers rather than reply to any single user.
“Hey guys, I’m having fun & he gave me my smile back 💞,” she wrote on the post. “Ya girl is living her best life — let meeeee k thanks byeeeee.”
The negative remarks ranged from jokes about Wolf’s youth to outright mockery. One commenter wrote, “If it’s his first time at Waffle House, he’s too young for you sis 😂😂😂😂 small joke. Lol.” Others labeled the pairing “cougar season,” with another quipping, “mamas feeding him breakfast before he catches his school bus.”
Wolf, who appears on “Calabasas Confidential,” was first linked to Bunnie Xo in July. That connection surfaced roughly one month after news broke that she and country star Jelly Roll, 41, had ended their nearly decade-long marriage. Their divorce was settled that same month.
The new couple made headlines over the Fourth of July holiday when they were photographed kissing at Goodnight Nashville, the Grammy winner’s bar in Tennessee. Bunnie Xo addressed the incident on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, noting that her ex-husband was aware and took “no issue” with it.
“I.. Have a floor there,” she explained to listeners. “I also feel very safe there. I also feel protected there. That’s our home. If I’m gonna land at any bar, I’m gonna do it at Goodnight Nashville.”
She continued, “I had fun. I am healing out loud. So what I had fun under the fireworks? I hope I get kissed under 10 more fireworks.”
At that time, Bunnie Xo maintained she was not looking to settle down. “I’m not dating” and “don’t want to be with anybody,” she stated, adding, “You’re not pinning this bitch down. Catch me if you can. Your girl is just out here having fun, living my best life.”
Wolf offered his own colorful perspective when the outlet approached him about the July makeout. “Sometimes a cowboy wants to hunt cougars and rabbits. That’s all that is,” he said.
While Jelly Roll has not publicly debuted a new relationship since the split, Bunnie Xo has claimed her ex was quick to move on. “He’s all hopped up on testosterone, let me tell you. He’s even started dating. … His DMs are open,” she shared.
The Waffle House weekend post marks a shift from her earlier stance of casual fun, with her new message emphasizing that Wolf has restored her happiness since the marriage ended.
