Dakota Johnson kept her front-row seat warm at Vogue World 2026: Milano on Tuesday while Machine Gun Kelly lit up the runway inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
The “Fifty Shades of Grey” alum, 36, watched from prime real estate as MGK, born Colson Baker, also 36, made his entrance in a neon orange Byblos jumpsuit, cigarette in hand. The 6-foot-4 musician had been photographed rehearsing for the Italian spectacle just one day earlier.
The pair’s Milan reunion comes barely two weeks after they first sparked romance rumors in New York City. On Sept. 11, Johnson and Baker were spotted slipping into Taylor Swift’s Tribeca apartment before heading to dinner at Estela. “Taylor has let friends use her NYC properties before, and Dakota and Colson wanted privacy, so they headed to her apartment,” a source exclusively said.
According to the same source, the “Bloody Valentine” singer is “really into” Johnson but is taking things slow. “He’s not putting a label on anything or getting ahead of himself,” the source said.
Johnson herself has stayed tight-lipped. When Vogue pressed her about her current relationship status for her October cover story, she deflected: “I don’t want to say anything about that,” she said.
She did, however, offer a broader assessment of dating musicians. “They like me. I don’t know what to say. And I like them,” she told the magazine, before adding with blunt candor: “tricky motherf–kers.”
Both stars actually attended the 2025 edition of Vogue World on the Paramount lot in Los Angeles, though they reportedly didn’t connect until this July. Their introduction came at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden wedding, where they apparently hit it off.
The timing follows Johnson’s recent split from Role Model, aka Tucker Pillsbury. Reports said the breakup in August, ending her relationship with the indie-pop musician. Before Pillsbury, she spent nearly eight years with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
Baker’s romantic history includes an on-and-off relationship with Megan Fox, with whom he shares daughter Saga, 1. He is also father to Casie, 17, from a previous relationship with Emma Cannon.
Tuesday night’s event marked the fifth edition of Vogue World and the first held in Italy. The spectacle kicked off Milan Fashion Week with a theme paying tribute to “Italian craftsmanship and designers in the age of technology,” per a release.
For the occasion, Johnson opted for an all-black look featuring an ultra-low plunging top and a miniskirt. Baker’s cigarette-smoking runway walk in head-to-toe orange offered a stark visual contrast.
The rocker was no stranger to the catwalk. He previously made his runway debut for Dolce and Gabbana in 2022, though his Vogue World appearance came with the added spotlight of a rumored new flame watching from inches away.
Neither Johnson nor Baker has publicly confirmed the relationship speculation that has trailed them since their New York outing.
The “Materialists” actress has built a career balancing blockbuster franchises with indie darlings, while Baker has spent recent years pivoting between rap, pop-punk, and increasingly high-profile fashion moments.
Their overlapping presence at Vogue World’s most ambitious edition yet suggests whatever connection sparked at Swift’s wedding has continued to simmer through summer’s end.
Baker is scheduled to bring his genre-blending live show to Los Angeles.
