Jamie Foxx, 58, confirmed on Tuesday that he is expecting his third child.
The Oscar winner dropped the news during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where he exclaimed, “I got a baby on the way… still got it!” Foxx is already father to daughters Corinne Foxx, 32, with ex Connie Kline, and Annalise Bishop, 17, with ex Kristin Grannis.
The “Ray” actor told Kimmel he is “about to be back in the drop-off line,” adding, “I wasn’t on the fence about it, but being 58 … you know what I’m saying?” Foxx’s girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, 31, is the mother-to-be. The couple had briefly split in January 2025 after three years together but reconciled months later.
Foxx also revealed he had consulted fellow Hollywood father Al Pacino about late-in-life parenting. Pacino welcomed a baby at 83.
“I said, ‘Al, how old are you?’ He said, ’84.’ I said, ‘Man, you’re gonna be 84 years old back in the drop-off line,'” Foxx shared. Pacino’s response, he continued, was classic: “’84 years old, back in the drop-off line, every time I get out, they pull me back in.'”
Huckstepp first appeared alongside Foxx in May 2022, when the two were photographed together on a yacht in Cannes. They confirmed their relationship publicly three months later at the premiere of his Netflix film “Day Shift.”
The Australian model notably stood by Foxx during his 2023 health crisis, which stemmed from a brain bleed that led to a stroke. In April 2024, a source said that Huckstepp “has been there” for the actor in the aftermath and is a “great” and “loyal” presence in his life.
Reports said in May that Huckstepp was “several months along” in her pregnancy. Foxx himself appeared to joke about the long road ahead with a new infant, telling Kimmel he advised Huckstepp to “just hang in there for 12 years.”
“If I’m 58, 12 years I’ll be 70 … you’ll just put a blanket over my thighs, give me some tapioca pudding…” he added.
The health scare that preceded this new chapter began in April 2023, when Foxx was hospitalized in Atlanta while filming the Netflix movie “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz. Details were initially scarce, with family members requesting privacy. Foxx later disclosed that he had suffered a brain bleed that caused a stroke, leaving him unable to walk and facing a difficult recovery. He has since spoken openly about the ordeal, including in his 2025 Netflix special “What Had Happened Was,” where he detailed the medical emergency and his journey back to health.
The “Django Unchained” star’s confirmation on Kimmel marks a rare personal disclosure from an actor who has generally kept his family life private despite decades in the spotlight. His eldest daughter, Corinne, has followed him into entertainment, working as a producer and actress.
Foxx is currently touring his comedy show “The Foxx Experiment,” with upcoming dates scheduled across the United States.
