Chanel Ayan says Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley have reconciled.
The “Real Housewives of Dubai” alum, 45, revealed the update during an interview for the outlet’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” telling the outlet she witnessed the pair together at NBCUniversal’s Pre-Emmy party earlier this month. Ayan said she spent time chatting with both women and found them “really close.”
“I was talking to Kyle and Dorit, and I was having a great time with them,” Ayan shared in the interview.
The friendship revival apparently came with a digital gesture. Ayan said Richards, 56, created a WhatsApp group chat that included her and Kemsley, 48.
“It was just so cute,” Ayan recalled. “It’s good to see them together.”
The reconciliation marks a shift for the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars, whose bond deteriorated across multiple seasons. The pair began drifting in Season 13 as Richards grew closer to country singer Morgan Wade amid her separation from Mauricio Umansky. Richards later said on Amazon Live that Dorit had overstated their closeness, noting they had vacationed together only once outside of filming. Dorit then revealed a text Richards sent the night before the Season 13 reunion, in which Richards asked her not to air their issues on camera.
The friction persisted into Season 14 after Richards sent a supportive message to Dorit’s estranged husband, PK Kemsley, following the couple’s separation. Richards promised to keep sending him “memes” despite the split. Though the two exchanged apologies and agreed to “move forward” at the Season 14 reunion, Richards and castmate Erika Jayne later indicated at BravoCon 2025 that they were no longer speaking to Dorit after their cast trip to Italy.
Season 15 showed the cast staging an intervention about what they called Dorit’s “erratic” behavior after her split from PK. The group is now filming Season 16, which has added Leah Remini and Tracy Tutor to the cast.
Ayan also previewed incoming tension between Dorit and Tutor, referencing Tutor’s past accusation that Dorit failed to pay her glam team — a claim Dorit has denied.
Ayan expressed sympathy for Dorit’s position as filming continues.
“I just want people to give Dorit a bit of grace,” Ayan said. “She’s going through a lot. We don’t need to be tough on the girl.”
The cast’s Italy trip fallout and subsequent non-speaking status had appeared to cement the rift, making Ayan’s eyewitness account of their renewed warmth at the Pre-Emmy gathering a notable development. The WhatsApp group chat detail suggests the reconciliation may extend beyond surface-level pleasantries at industry events.
