Lindsey Vonn went Instagram-official with French alpine ski racer Matthieu Bailet on Wednesday.
The four-time Olympic medalist, 41, posted a carousel of vacation photos showing her and Bailet, 30, kissing, swimming and lounging on a beach. “About that time for a summer recap… pt 1❤️,” she captioned the upload.
Bailet, who is from Nice, France, did not stay quiet in the comments. “Can’t wait to see the summer recap part 2 😉😘,” he wrote on Vonn’s post. He also reshared the upload to his own Instagram Stories, soundtracking it with Olivia Dean’s hit “So Easy (To Fall in Love).”
The pair had already been spotted together twice in New York City in May. In photos, Vonn and Bailet lunched in Soho before heading underground to catch a subway, sitting close while waiting for the train. Days later, they were photographed backstage at Broadway’s “The Outsiders.”
Bailet has competed in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup every year since his 2016 debut at age 19. He also represented France at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Vonn’s romantic reveal comes as she continues recovering from a devastating crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy this past January. She made a high-profile appearance at the Met Gala, ditching her crutches for her first red carpet outing since being airlifted to a hospital during competition.
Last month, she gave TNT Sports a sobering update at the US Open. “I still have another surgery, so I’m trying to get as strong as possible,” Vonn said. “And once I get my ACL, then I’ll have another long road ahead of me. But for now, I feel great, and I’m very thankful for that.”
She continued, “I’m hoping that I can have the [ACL] surgery in November, but it’ll be in the winter sometime, and then it’ll be another nine months until I’m fully recovered from that, so I can’t really look beyond that. I don’t really know what the future holds, but like I said, I’m just thankful for where I am right now.”
Vonn was previously in a highly publicized relationship with golfer Tiger Woods. She has not indicated whether Bailet will accompany her to upcoming public appearances.
Vonn is aiming to schedule her next ACL surgery for November.
