Milania Giudice is receiving professional care after a turbulent confrontation with her mother and sister at a Florida airport.
The 20-year-old reality star’s manager, Maria DeSantis, confirmed the development in a statement issued after the Wednesday incident at Tampa International Airport. DeSantis, who has long worked with the Giudice family, said Milania “is currently surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family.”
Police were summoned to the airport around 2:20 p.m. After multiple women in the traveling party requested assistance, according to an incident report. Officers were told Milania was “having suicidal thoughts” and experiencing a “mental breakdown.” The report noted she had recently been discharged from a hospital and was traveling with a counselor.
Milania briefly separated from the group and was spotted running through the terminal, the report stated. Police located her approximately 10 minutes later and accompanied her to her gate. No arrest was made, no medical transport was required, and no police report was formally filed.
DeSantis described Milania as “a good-hearted and caring young woman who has been going through a very challenging period.” The statement emphasized that the family’s “focus right now is simply on her health, healing and well-being.”
The manager also revealed that Milania’s struggles have been compounded by grief. “Milania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and all of us are doing everything we can to support her as she navigates an incredibly difficult time in her life, particularly following the devastating loss of her best friend, Victoria,” DeSantis said.
The statement closed with a request for public understanding. “In time, she hopes that being open about her experiences may help other young people facing their own struggles, but for now, we ask for compassion and privacy as she and her family continue to navigate this together,” DeSantis added.
The airport encounter involved Teresa Giudice, 54, the longtime star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” and her eldest daughter Gia Giudice, 25. Video of the confrontation circulated online before being deleted, showing Milania lashing out while police officers stood nearby.
