Kingston Lammar Bradley, 18, was arrested without bond on Wednesday after a neighbor spotted him carrying a plastic container through the Park Valley apartment complex in Smyrna, Georgia.
The witness told police that Bradley had been hauling the container through an open area of the complex for nearly half an hour that evening, according to a warrant obtained by Fox5 Atlanta. After noticing he was being watched, Bradley dropped the container on a dirt path and ran to his nearby apartment unit, court documents state.
Responding officers opened the container and discovered the dismembered torso of a woman who has not yet been identified.
A subsequent search of Bradley’s home uncovered several blood-stained areas, a mop, a bucket of water, a carpet cleaner, a strong odor of bleach, and a large bloody saw, the warrant added. The discovery came after police had initially responded to a missing person’s call at the complex, the Smyrna Police Department announced in a press release.
Bradley now faces felony charges of concealing the death of another person and remains held without bond, court records show. The Smyrna Police Department stated that investigators are actively conducting interviews and collecting evidence, with additional updates expected as the case develops.
The gruesome find has shaken residents of the Park Valley complex, a suburban Atlanta community where such violence is rare. Police have not disclosed any potential relationship between Bradley and the unidentified victim, nor have they indicated whether additional charges may follow.
The investigation remains ongoing.
