Yoatzi Castro has spoken out after identifying the man she says groped her during a Disneyland livestream.
The Mexican influencer, who was broadcasting in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Anaheim when the alleged assault occurred, told police that Christopher Poitras touched her inappropriately as he passed by with a female companion pushing a stroller. Anaheim Police Department Public Information Officer Eric Anderson said Castro indicated “she was groped by this male individual” and provided a description to Disneyland security, who located the man and contacted officers. Poitras was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor sexual battery, interviewed, then cited and released.
Castro expressed profound relief that the incident was captured on video. “I just felt so insanely violated, and I am honestly so grateful that we were streaming, because if we weren’t streaming, I feel like I would’ve had no evidence, but we had the video,” she said in a social media post following the alleged assault. The footage shows Castro, dressed for her broadcast, posing with friends as a man in glasses, a light blue shirt and shorts walks past and appears to move his left hand toward her rear.
She reacted immediately, punching the man in the back and screaming at him. “I’m sorry, I accidentally just…,” he is heard saying in the clip, before asking “What are you talking about?” Castro challenged his denial, asking why she would fabricate such an accusation as he and his companion retreated toward the castle gates. “That’s disgusting, f–king pedophile,” she yelled. “Disgusting a–, disrespecting women.” She then reported the incident to nearby park employees.
The influencer believes Poitras has committed similar acts before. She hopes he never gets another opportunity to do so. “Hopefully he learns his lesson and never does something like this again,” she added in her post. The Anaheim Police Department has said the incident remains under investigation.
The confrontation unfolded in one of the most photographed locations at the Anaheim resort, where Castro had positioned herself for her livestream with the fairy-tale backdrop visible behind her. The alleged assault and her forceful response played out in real time to her online audience before she sought out park staff to escalate the matter.
Castro’s decision to pursue the case through official channels rather than letting the man walk away has drawn attention to how influencers navigate personal safety while maintaining public-facing content.
