Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend Min Ah in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles, reports said on Wednesday.
The 64-year-old actor tied the knot with Min Ah seven months after the couple made their public debut at the César Awards in Paris in February. At that ceremony, where Carrey accepted an honorary award, Min Ah sat in the audience alongside his daughter Jane, 38, and grandson Jackson.
During his acceptance speech, which he delivered in French, Carrey thanked his family before turning his attention to Min Ah.
“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I love you, Min Ah,” he said at the February ceremony.
Carrey and Min Ah have maintained a largely private relationship since they were first photographed together in February 2022. The couple was spotted leaving a charity comedy show hosted by Judd Apatow at Largo in Los Angeles, reports said at the time.
The wedding marks Carrey’s third marriage. He married his first wife, Melissa Womer, a former actress and Comedy Store waitress, in 1987. The couple divorced in 1995 and share daughter Jane.
Carrey’s second marriage, to his “Dumb and Dumber” co-star Lauren Holly in 1996, lasted less than a year and ended in 1997. He also famously dated model and actress Jenny McCarthy from 2005 to 2010.
The actor was later linked to his “Kidding” co-star Ginger Gonzaga. The pair made their red carpet debut at the Showtime Golden Globes Nominees Celebration in January 2019 and split later that year.
Carrey’s February appearance at the César Awards sparked online speculation about his changed appearance, with some social media users suggesting he had undergone plastic surgery or that a “clone” or impersonator had appeared in his place.
His representative, Marleah Leslie, pushed back on those claims in a statement on March 2.
“Jim Carrey attended the César Awards, where he accepted his Honorary César Award,” Leslie said.
Carrey had previously expressed doubt about marrying again, making this private ceremony with Min Ah a notable turn in his personal life. The couple has given no public indication of plans beyond the small Los Angeles wedding.
