Shocking, Sleazy New Details Surface About Grammy-Winning Texas Democratic Candidate’s Secret

Bobby Pulido has fired back at critics digging through his social media history.

The Latin Grammy-winning singer, 55, who is running as a Democratic candidate for Texas’s congressional seat against Republican incumbent Rep. Monica De La Cruz, posted a video grumbling over coverage of his past online remarks. Pulido, a married father of four sons, claimed the controversial posts were simply old jokes exchanged with personal friends.

“I know all of these people. We were joking back and forth years ago. This was Mexican humor. Our humor is sarcastic, brutal, and full of slang that doesn’t survive Google Translate,” he said in the video, which he shared on social media after a request for comment from The Post.

Pulido also decried the “woke right” for focusing on his social media history.

The pushback came as newly unearthed posts added to a growing collection of crude and vulgar messages that have rocked his campaign. Many of the posts have since been scrubbed from his confirmed accounts, though some remain visible.

In January 2020, Pulido wrote to a woman on X who had posted a selfie asking whether she should cut her hair. According to a translation, he replied, “You’d better shave your p—y.” A few months later, responding to a user whose post has since been deleted, he remarked, “Help us find that goth big-ass chick,” adding in Spanish, “This dude is suffering a ton.”

The “tow truck” line became another flashpoint. In a 2014 response to a user in a thread with missing posts, Pulido wrote, “shiattt. I pick up so much ass they call me the tow truck.” The full context of the exchange remains unclear.

One of the most widely circulated exchanges involved a 2019 post on X in which a user wrote in Spanish, “I remember when @bobbypulido425 wanted me and even raped me in his DRESSING ROOOOM—holy sh—, that dude is a legend.” Pulido responded in Spanish, “Shhh… it was our secret.” Both individuals appeared to be joking.

The aspiring congressman has previously weathered controversy over other resurfaced posts. He told an Asian person to “open your Asian eyes” and suggested that molesting children is “not necessarily rape.” In 2020, he replied to a fan who claimed to be ill with an image of women sucking on chicken soup in suggestive ways.

Pulido’s social media presence frequently trafficked in sexual innuendo, often delivered in Spanish. In 2018, he posted an image of his coffee drink that he mused was shaped like a butt. In a thread that remains up on his X account, he shared an image of a cartoon woman bent over in a sexual manner. Two years earlier, he posted a selfie on a couch with the caption, “Here on my black couch,” an apparent reference to the Hollywood casting couch concept where higher-ups demand sexual favors from aspiring actors. “Aquí en mi couch negro. Casting anybody?? 😂” he wrote.

At one point, he likened long posts on X to a wife who “never shuts up.” In a since-deleted post, he riffed about a female bodybuilder who supposedly drank semen smoothies and claimed to never fall ill, adding that she planned to use it to fight COVID-19. “Ladies, finally we’re good for something,” he mused.

Pulido has also faced questions over his ties to ex-longtime bandmate Frankie Caballero, who was convicted of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in 2014. On a YouTube show in 2019, Pulido talked about going to Caballero “out of jail,” glossing over why his bandmate was incarcerated. He toured with Caballero after his four-year prison stint. Pulido’s spokesperson previously stressed that the candidate didn’t post bail for Caballero or “pick him up from jail or prison” and was just riffing on the show.

Pulido once portrayed a public masturbator in a vulgar music video.

His race against De La Cruz is currently rated a toss-up by the Cook Political Report.
