Lisa Bonet has surfaced for her first public appearance since 2022.
The actress, 56, sat front row at the Celine show during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday, marking a rare return to the spotlight for the performer known for roles in “The Cosby Show” and “A Different World.” Bonet, whose legal name is Lilakoi Moon, joined a star-studded lineup that included Tracee Ellis Ross, Ruth Negga, SZA, Hannah Einbinder and Dan Levy.
Before the show began, Bonet posed outside wearing a black satin dress layered beneath an oversized trench coat. She accessorized with her signature round-frame sunglasses, understated earrings and rings, along with a distinctive long, thin septum piercing that extended to either side of her nose. Her gray hair, left natural and flowing, reached well below her waist.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar at the event, Bonet expressed her enthusiasm for the brand’s current direction under creative director Michael Rider.
“I love what [Celine creative director] Michael [Rider]’s doing. And so I think he’s brought just a freshness and a relevance. Fashion can just feel so extreme sometimes, or just out of people’s leagues, and where are you going to wear these things? But that’s what really caught my attention — not just about this collection, but the previous ones he’s done.”
She continued, “It just feels wearable and elegant and special.”
Bonet added, “I’m excited to put something elegant on.”
The appearance drew immediate reaction from fans online. “Can I age like Lisa Bonet? Please, with sugar on top?” asked one commenter. Another echoed, “It’s like seeing an eclipse whenever she makes an appearance. I LOVE her!”
The Paris Fashion Week outing comes after a period of extremely limited public visibility for the actress. She was briefly spotted entering the “Saturday Night Live” after-party in March, where she celebrated with that night’s host and musical guest Harry Styles alongside daughter Zoë Kravitz. That appearance came just one month before Kravitz and Styles went public with their engagement.
In June, Bonet reunited with ex-husband Jason Momoa to celebrate their daughter Lola’s high school graduation. The former couple, who announced their separation in January 2022 after nearly five years of marriage, have maintained a co-parenting relationship focused on their two children together, Lola and Nakoa-Wolf.
Bonet also shares daughter Zoë Kravitz, 35, with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz, from whom she split in 1993 after six years of marriage.
The actress has largely stepped back from acting in recent years, with her last credited role in the 2022 film “Bandidos.” Her decision to maintain a low public profile has only intensified fan interest in her occasional appearances, which tend to generate significant social media attention.
