Mom Allegedly Stabs Husband and Two Young Children in Early Morning Attack

A Texas mother is facing attempted murder charges after her husband called 911 to report she had stabbed him and their two young children during an early morning attack at their home.

Holly Leeann Flores, 37, was taken into custody following the 4:20 a.m. Incident Tuesday in Northlake, a small town north of Fort Worth, according to police. Her husband, 34, made the emergency call after being stabbed in the head.

Officers who responded to the home discovered the couple’s 3-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son with stab wounds to their chests. All three victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford addressed the case at a press conference, confirming the suspect had received medical attention before her arrest. “An adult female, identified as Holly Leanne Flores, 37 years of age, has been treated and released from the hospital, taken into custody, and transported to Denton County Jail,” Crawford said.

The chief outlined the preliminary charges against Flores, which include two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The charges reflect the severity of the alleged attack on the two infants and her husband.

Crawford provided an update on the victims’ conditions, stating that the husband and both children remained hospitalized but were expected to survive their injuries. The nature of the wounds — a head stab wound for the father and chest wounds for both young children — suggested a targeted and violent assault within the family home.

The 10-month-old boy and 3-year-old girl represent particularly vulnerable victims in a case that has drawn attention to domestic violence involving young children. The early morning timing of the attack, shortly after 4 a.m., indicated the incident occurred during hours when the household would typically be at rest.

Police have indicated that detectives continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the violence. The specific motive or triggering events remained under examination as authorities processed evidence from the Northlake residence.

The case emerged from a domestic setting in the small Texas community, where the family had been living prior to the Tuesday morning violence. The husband’s ability to contact emergency services despite his injuries proved critical in bringing responders to the scene.

Flores was processed through the Denton County Jail after her release from medical care. The attempted capital murder charges, which apply to the alleged attacks on both children, carry significant penalties under Texas law.

Crawford emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation as detectives work to establish a complete account of the incident. The preliminary charges may be subject to modification as additional evidence comes to light.

The family members remained under medical care as the legal process against Flores moved forward. The case stands as a disturbing instance of alleged intrafamily violence directed at both a spouse and very young children.
