Minka Kelly and Dan Reynolds have called it quits.
The “Ransom Canyon” actress, 36, and the Imagine Dragons frontman, 39, ended their four-year romance in recent days, a source said. Representatives for both stars did not immediately return requests for comment Wednesday.

The pair first went public in November 2022 with a dinner date at Cafe Stella in Los Angeles’s Silver Lake neighborhood. That outing marked the beginning of a relationship built on an unusually intimate exchange of creative work before the two had ever met face-to-face.
Reynolds, the “Believer” hitmaker, explained in 2024 that he and Kelly connected through a mutual friend and decided to share their art with each other while still strangers. Kelly offered him her memoir, “Tell Me Everything,” though the exchange made her deeply nervous.
“She’s like, ‘Well, if you’re going to share your art, I can share something with you, but it’s very vulnerable for me. Do you want to do this or not?'” Reynolds recalled in the interview.
The “Demons” singer admitted his own anxiety about the arrangement. “But we shared it and then it ended up being a really beautiful thing and brought us a lot closer,” he continued. “I think it helped us both kind of understand each other on a deeper level quite quickly.”
Kelly’s memoir, published in 2023, chronicles her life and relationships, including her time as a New York City stripper and her high-profile romances with actors like Derek Jeter and Jesse Williams. The book’s raw candor made the pre-meeting exchange particularly risky for both parties.
Reynolds had been separated from his wife, Aja Volkman, with whom he shares four children, when he began seeing Kelly. Volkman filed for divorce in 2023 amid reports of Reynolds’s new relationship, though the singer and his estranged wife had previously weathered multiple breakups and reconciliations over nearly a decade of marriage.

The split with Kelly marks another turn in Reynolds’s complicated romantic history. The Imagine Dragons frontman and Volkman, 43, first married in 2011, announced a separation in 2018, called off divorce plans that same year, then separated again before Volkman’s 2023 filing. The former couple’s children range from elementary school age to teenagers.
Kelly, who rose to fame as Lyla Garrity on “Friday Night Lights,” has maintained a lower public profile in recent years, focusing on her acting work and the release of her memoir. Her relationship with Reynolds represented one of her most visible pairings since her split from “The Roommate” co-star Leighton Meester’s ex-husband, actor Williams, with whom she shares a son born in 2019.

Neither Kelly nor Reynolds has posted publicly about the breakup on social media. The “Tell Me Everything” author last appeared on Reynolds’s Instagram in early 2024, when the singer promoted her book with a supportive message to his followers.
