Gypsy Rose Blanchard has broken her silence about the last time she saw Ken Urker before his death.
The 35-year-old reality star exclusively said that she surprised Urker, 34, with a Burger King delivery in September, pretending to be a DoorDash driver and leaving the food outside his door in what would become their final in-person interaction. She shared a screenshot of their playful text exchange from Sept. 22, which showed Urker thanking her for the unexpected meal.
“You may leave me a five star review,” Blanchard jokingly texted him alongside a photo of the food sitting outside his front door.
“Omg ur so crazy lol,” Urker replied, adding, “Even got me a Hershey pie 😂,” referring to one of Burger King’s dessert options.
“Thanks 😊,” he wrote before Blanchard responded, “You’re welcome.”
Blanchard said that looking back, she had no idea that simple exchange would become so significant. “It was such a simple, silly little moment, but one that now means more to me than I could ever put into words,” she said. “I didn’t know that would be the last time I would ever see him in person.”
The former couple, who first connected while Blanchard was serving time in prison for her role in her mother’s murder, rekindled their romance in 2024 and welcomed daughter Aurora that December. They separated shortly before his death.
Urker was found dead inside his Raceland, Louisiana, home on Oct. 1 — his 34th birthday — after concerned family members requested a welfare check. Authorities discovered him lying unresponsive in his bed, with drug paraphernalia, a syringe and a handgun found at the scene. An official cause of death has not been determined, pending toxicology results, though authorities have said there were no signs of foul play.
Blanchard previously said she believed Urker died of an overdose, though she did not know whether it was intentional.
In the wake of his death, Blanchard also claimed Urker had endured relentless online harassment, which she believed negatively affected his mental health. She has continued to mourn him while caring for their daughter, now 21 months old.
Blanchard and Aurora later attended a private viewing for Urker. She has also been invited to attend his funeral in Texas and has discussed holding a separate celebration of life in Louisiana.
Blanchard expressed gratitude for the nature of their final interaction. “Looking back, I’m grateful that one of my final memories of Ken was something lighthearted, thoughtful, and filled with kindness,” she shared. “Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that become the most precious memories. I will carry that one with me forever.”
The pair’s relationship had drawn public attention since their initial prison correspondence, and their reunion after her release made headlines throughout 2024. Their daughter’s birth in December of that year marked a new chapter before their subsequent separation.
Blanchard has not publicly announced any scheduled memorial events.
