Chad Lowe and his immediate family stepped out together publicly for the first time since losing Fiona.
The “Life Goes On” actor, 58, joined wife Kim Painter, 52, and their two surviving daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, at his nephew Matthew Lowe’s wedding in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday. The family of four sat together two rows behind Chad’s older brother, Rob Lowe, 62, who attended with wife Sheryl Berkoff and their son John Owen Lowe. Actor Chris Pratt sat on the other side of Chad during the ceremony.

Chad wore a blue suit with a matching tie for the occasion, while Painter chose a black dress. Nixie wore a pink spaghetti-strap dress, and Mabel wore a sleeveless cream dress that she later covered with a black jacket.
The nuptials were officiated by Gwyneth Paltrow and drew several other high-profile guests, including Cameron Diaz, Adam Levine, Katy Perry, Zoe Saldaña and Maria Shriver.

The gathering came nearly two weeks after Chad and Painter’s middle daughter, Fiona, died by suicide on Sept. 29 at age 13. The family issued a statement expressing their grief over the loss.

“We are deeply heartbroken,” they said. “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”

Following Fiona’s death, Mabel shared a tribute to her late sister on Instagram.
“I love you so much fiona ❤️ i wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now,” she wrote.
“I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much,” the teen added.

Matthew Lowe, 31, married Emily Markus in the star-studded ceremony. The groom is the elder of Rob Lowe’s two sons with Berkoff; the couple also shares John Owen Lowe, 29.

The Lowe brothers have remained close through their decades in Hollywood. Rob rose to fame in 1980s films like “St. Elmo’s Fire” and “The Outsiders” before starring on “The West Wing” and “Parks and Recreation.” Chad earned an Emmy for “Life Goes On” in the early 1990s and has since built a steady career in television directing and acting.

The wedding marked a rare public moment for Chad’s family as they navigate their loss. Fiona was the second of three daughters born to Chad and Painter, who married in 2010. The couple welcomed Mabel in 2009, Fiona in 2012, and Nixie in 2016.
