Reality TV Star Milania Giudice Reveals Bipolar Diagnosis and Treatment After Arrest

Milania Giudice, 20, broke her silence on her mental health in an Instagram video posted October 12, revealing she is bipolar and receiving treatment at a professional facility.

The University of Tampa student and daughter of Teresa Giudice, 52, shared that she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD and ADHD. She filmed the update from inside the treatment center, noting that her mother was traveling to visit her that same day.

“I do struggle with mental health issues,” she told her followers. “I am bipolar. I struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD and ADHD and I am not ashamed of any of my mental health disorders because I’m currently at a treatment center, my mom’s on her way to come visit me today.”

Her disclosure arrives during a punishing stretch of personal crises. In July, her best friend Victoria Zardoya died suddenly. Two months earlier, Milania had been arrested on an assault charge in May, a case that remains open and for which she has not yet entered a plea.

“I do work on myself, but you know what? I am only 20 years old and this summer hit me like a bus,” she continued in the video. “A lot of things happened in a short amount of time and I’m trying to just process everything. It’s really hard being in the public light while you go through things in life.”

The cascade of events had already prompted her manager, Maria DeSantis, to confirm in late September that Milania was seeking professional help. DeSantis, described as a longtime family friend, issued a statement on September 24 emphasizing the support network surrounding the young reality star.

“All of us are doing everything we can to support her as she navigates an incredibly difficult time in her life, particularly following the devastating loss of her best friend, Victoria,” DeSantis said. “She is currently surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family.”

Milania directed an emotional apology to her immediate family in the October 12 video, naming her mother, her father Joe Giudice, and her sisters Gia, Gabriella and Audriana among those she wanted to make amends with.

“I just want to say I’m sorry because I was grown up on pure respect, love and I just haven’t been showing the Milania that I want to show and I want to do better,” she said.

Her public mea culpa followed a more private expression of regret posted to Instagram Stories on October 6, where she praised her mother’s parenting.

“The older I get the more I appreciate how I was raised and who I was raised by,” she wrote. “You are the best, sorry mother.”

Beyond personal repair, Milania indicated she wants to shift what she shares online, moving away from past content toward using her experiences to assist others facing similar struggles.

The May arrest for assault that preceded her treatment stay remains an active legal matter.
