Horrified Family Speaks Out After Father Executes His Two Sons, 4 and 11, on Los Angeles Street

Adolfo Gramajo’s family is begging for help to bury the two sons he is accused of executing on a Koreatown sidewalk.

Gramajo, 35, allegedly shot Jimmy Gramajo Bonilla, 4, and Osmani Gramajo Bonilla, 11, during what was supposed to be a routine custody visit last Sunday. The father had taken the boys to McDonald’s and told their mother they would be at his parents’ house afterward LA. Instead, police say he gunned them down in broad daylight at a street intersection before turning the weapon on himself in a failed suicide attempt.

The LA County Medical Examiner ruled Jimmy’s cause of death a “close-range gunshot of the head.” Osmani also died from a “gunshot wound of the head.”

Both boys were rushed to hospitals but could not be saved. Gramajo survived his self-inflicted injuries and was booked on a murder charge with bail set at $4 million, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed. His current medical condition has not been disclosed.

The boys’ relatives have been left shattered and scrambling to cover funeral costs. They turned to Facebook to announce the devastating loss and ask for public support.

“On October 11, our beloved Jimmy and Osmani left this world, leaving an immense void in our hearts,” the family posted on the social platform. “They were the most adorable and charming boys, always happy, with contagious smiles and innocent, wonderful mischief. They are and will always be the reason for my life.”

The post continued with a direct appeal for financial assistance: “Today we ask from the bottom of our hearts for your collaboration to be able to give them a dignified farewell and cover the funeral and burial expenses. Any donation, no matter how small, will be a great help to our family.”

Maria Lopez, an aunt to the two children, gave a brief, tearful assessment of who they were. “So sweet, really good kids,” she said LA.

Carlos Aguilar, a family friend, struggled to comprehend why anyone would harm the brothers. He emphasized their gentle nature in remarks to reporters.

“They never did anything wrong to anyone. They were always happy, never wanted to hurt anyone. They were innocent,” Aguilar said.

A makeshift memorial of flowers and mementos has sprung up at the Koreatown intersection where the shooting occurred, as neighbors and loved ones grapple with the violence that unfolded in their community. The precise circumstances that led Gramajo to allegedly open fire on his own children remain unknown, and LAPD detectives have not identified a motive. The investigation is continuing.

Gramajo remains in custody as relatives face the agonizing task of laying Jimmy and Osmani to rest.
