Machine Gun Kelly has publicly debunked a viral fake post attributed to him about ex-girlfriend Megan Fox.
Colson Baker, 34, who performs as Machine Gun Kelly, fired back on X after the fabricated statement circulated widely on the platform last week. The fake post, which claimed to be from his verified account, expressed elaborate regret over his split from Fox, 38, and described her recent photos as so stunning they made him want to “throw my phone into a wall.”
“That tweet is faker than a pair of [breasts],” he wrote on X.
The fabricated post had attributed several sentimental lines to the rapper, including: “I had the baddest woman to ever walk this planet in love with me and somehow found a way to [mess] it all up.” It also claimed he wrote: “Imagine fumbling the girl of your dreams and then having to watch the entire world remind you how beautiful she is. I’ll never forgive myself.”
A community note was later added beneath the viral screenshot, clarifying that no such post existed from Baker’s verified account. The note also stated that the pair split before their daughter’s March 2025 birth and continue to co-parent, with his actual comments on her photos being “lighthearted.”
Baker and Fox, who began dating in 2020, welcomed their first child together, daughter Saga Blade, this past March. They had announced their separation in late 2024 after four years together.
Despite the breakup, Baker has spoken warmly of Fox in multiple interviews. During an appearance on Today with Jenna and Friends, he redirected congratulations about fatherhood toward the actress.
“I want to detract all of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work. I keep getting called ‘The Music Teacher,'” he said.
He offered similar praise during a 2025 sit-down on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he described their relationship in glowing terms.
“It truly was an epic story of love, pain and a lot of magic,” he said about their four year relationship.
“I had it with a person who is the greatest partner, the greatest partner to have had a child with.”

His supportive comments have extended to social media as well. After Fox posted modeling content to Instagram, Baker told her he was “stoked they had a baby.”
Both have otherwise maintained privacy regarding their personal lives since the split. However, Baker has recently been linked to Dakota Johnson, 35, star of the Fifty Shades franchise. Last month, Johnson was spotted watching Baker perform at Vogue World 2026 during Milan Fashion Week. Weeks earlier, a source said the two had connected at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding and had been “hanging out and seeing each other under the radar for months.”

Baker is scheduled to appear next at the Vogue World afterparty in Paris.
