Denise Richards Vows Never to Marry Again After Charlie Sheen and Aaron Phypers Divorces Saying She’s ‘0 for 2’

Denise Richards has sworn off marriage for good.

The actress, 55, made the declaration during an appearance on Jenny McCarthy’s podcast this week, declaring she has no interest in ever walking down the aisle again despite still believing in love. Richards has been married twice, first to Charlie Sheen and most recently to Aaron Phypers, with both unions ending in bitter divorce.

“Will I ever get married again? Absof—lutely not,” Richards said on the podcast. “I don’t want that piece of paper.”

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is currently locked in a legal battle with Phypers, who filed for divorce in July 2025. Richards told McCarthy she now views that relationship as something far colder than a genuine partnership.

“What I’m having to unravel and learning, that to him I was a product and it was a business arrangement, this was not a marriage,” Richards claimed of Phypers during the episode. “So that part, I can’t do again.”

She added with dark humor, “I’m 0 for 2,” referencing her 2006 divorce from Sheen.

Despite the hard line on matrimony, Richards made clear she has not given up on romance entirely. She said she still wants to find love again and refuses to let her experiences leave her jaded.

“I would have a partner, and I want to fall in love again, so I don’t want to be bitter …” she said.

Richards did acknowledge she carries significant anger toward Phypers, though she hopes to eventually release it. She admitted she wanted to “let go” of her “hatred” for him because she doesn’t think it’s “healthy.” However, she also noted there is a lot of “s—t” that happened behind closed doors.

The acrimony between Richards and Phypers extends well beyond the podcast studio. In Los Angeles Superior Court, Richards testified about multiple incidents and claimed that the former wellness center owner caused her to have “at least three concussions.” She previously accused him of years of physical abuse and was granted a five-year restraining order against Phypers in November 2025.

Phypers has denied the abuse allegations. In September, he was ordered to pay Richards more than $25,000 in sanctions.

Before Phypers, Richards endured a famously turbulent marriage to “Two and a Half Men” star Sheen, whom she shares two daughters with: Sami, 22, and Lola, 20. During their relationship, Sheen struggled with substance abuse and erratic behavior. Richards filed for divorce when she was six months pregnant with their second daughter in 2006, later calling the marriage “very toxic.”

While appearing on Caroline Stanbury’s podcast in 2022, Richards detailed that her breaking point in the marriage came when she asked herself whether or not she would want her daughters to be in a relationship with someone like Sheen.

Richards first rose to fame with provocative roles in films like “Wild Things” and “Starship Troopers” before becoming a reality television fixture. Her time on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” brought her personal life further into public view, including the early days of her relationship with Phypers.

Richards continues to work in film and television while navigating the ongoing legal proceedings with Phypers.
