Hadid, 30, arrived at the Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood wearing a completely see-through black lace minidress that paid direct homage to one of pop music’s most memorable red carpet moments. The skin-tight design featured long sleeves and a mock neck, mirroring the original Dolce & Gabbana look Spears wore to the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
While Spears had opted for more full-coverage boyshorts and a balconette bra underneath the sheer lace two decades earlier, Hadid put her own Victoria’s Secret spin on the silhouette.
