Hila Klein has publicly accused her husband of a six-month affair and announced his immediate removal from the H3 Podcast.
Hila, 37, posted a lengthy statement to Instagram late Thursday detailing what she called “unthinkable heartbreak.” The Israeli-American artist and designer, who co-founded the popular podcast with Ethan Klein, 39, in 2016, wrote that she had been “fed lie after lie after lie for months” before finally uncovering the truth about his infidelity.
“I am living a nightmare I can’t wake up from,” she wrote on Instagram. “My husband has been been having an affair. Here is the truth.”
Hila explained that she had initially raised her “concerns and hurt feelings” with Ethan but was met with “dismissive answers and no action.” Rather than continue pressing him, she wrote, she began to doubt herself instead. “I trusted him,” she continued, “so I stopped questioning him and began to question myself, my own instincts. My sanity.”
The breaking point came when Ethan was “caught in a lie,” Hila wrote. Even then, she noted, he continued to deceive her about the details of his relationship with the other woman. Only after she “dragged these lies” from him did he admit the affair had lasted over six months. Hila added that she remains uncertain about the “true extent” of the betrayal.
“The betrayal I feel is immeasurable,” she told her followers. “The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight. He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business. My only family on this side of the world.”
The couple’s professional partnership has now dissolved along with their marriage. The H3 Podcast crew released a statement confirming Ethan had been fired and expressing solidarity with Hila. “We stand with Hila and will support her every step of the way,” the team wrote. “We’re disgusted by Ethan’s actions and the hurt he has caused. We all deserved better: Hila, us, and you.”
The crew described themselves as “shocked, angry, and heartbroken” and confirmed they decided to cut ties with Ethan “as soon as they found out” what he did. They acknowledged uncertainty about the podcast’s future, writing, “We don’t yet know what that means for the future. There’s a lot to work through, and we wish we had more answers for you.”
Hila and Ethan share three sons: Theodore, 7, Bruce, 4, and Sunny, 2. In her post, Hila made clear she is now focused on navigating “separation, co-parenting, and unthinkable heartbreak.” She described herself as being “in survival mode” and uncertain about what comes next.
“All I can do right now is focus on taking care of myself and my children, one day at a time,” she added. “You’re not crazy. Trust your instincts. Trust yourself. If you’re not being treated right, get up and leave.”
The couple’s history stretches back nearly two decades. They met in 2007 when Ethan visited Israel during a Birthright trip while Hila was serving in the Israel Defense Forces. They married in 2012 and launched their satirical comedy podcast four years later, building it into a YouTube channel with over 2.5 million subscribers.
Hila is also the sister of Moses Hacmon, husband of fellow YouTuber Trisha Paytas, adding another layer of influencer-world connections to the unfolding drama.
The podcast hiatus leaves the future of one of YouTube’s most established commentary shows in question. The H3 Podcast became known for its reaction videos, celebrity interviews, and running feuds with other internet personalities, with Ethan typically serving as the more outspoken on-camera presence while Hila contributed as co-host and creative partner.
Hila’s public disclosure marks a dramatic reversal of the couple’s typically united front. For years, they had presented themselves as a team both personally and professionally, with their marriage frequently referenced as a foundational element of the show’s identity.
The crew’s statement did not specify whether Hila would continue hosting in some form or whether the brand would be retired entirely.
