Tom Brady’s representatives are pushing back against claims the retired quarterback made disparaging remarks about a famous ex’s age.
The denial came in July 2025 after an outlet reported Brady believed Sofía Vergara was “too old” for him during their alleged summer romance in Spain. “Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this,” his spokesperson said at the time. “It is pure fiction.”
The Vergara rumors capped a busy post-divorce dating life for Brady, 48, who split from supermodel Gisele Bündchen, 44, in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage. The outlet broke the news that September that the couple had hit a rough patch and hired divorce lawyers. Bündchen has since moved on with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente; the pair welcomed a baby and tied the knot in 2025.
Brady’s romantic history stretches back to 2002, when he briefly dated Layla Roberts, the October 1997 Playmate of the Month. That same year, he was rumored to be involved with “American Pie” star Tara Reid. Reid later claimed she had kissed the athlete during their time together. “He’s pretty good-looking,” she said in a 2014 interview on the Australian radio show “Kylie and Jackie O.”
In 2023, Reid gave Bustle more insight into their fling, explaining they were seeing each other “on and off.” “It was nothing serious, but it was fun,” she said. “We’d go to beer places and have fun and dance.
