Kelly Clarkson celebrated her talk show’s final Emmy triumph with a heartfelt tribute to the team that made it possible.
“Congratulations to all the winners from The Kelly Clarkson Show! It was an incredible 7 years ❤️,” the singer, 43, captioned an Instagram post showing the production crew posing with their statuettes from the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards on Oct. 30. The image captured the group just two months after the NBC program wrapped its run.
The series dominated the ceremony with five wins out of eleven nominations, including the top honor of Outstanding Daytime Talk Series. Clarkson’s personal appearance at the event marked one of her first major public outings since the show’s conclusion.

The Grammy winner’s departure from the program had been set in motion months earlier. Reports said in January that she would be exiting, and Clarkson confirmed the news the following month with a statement that made clear the difficulty of her choice. She praised fans who had supported the show since its 2019 premiere and thanked NBC for being “such a supportive and incredible partner.”

“It wasn’t an easy decision,” she said at the time.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer pointed to her children as the driving force behind the move. Daughter River, 12, and son Remington, 10, have needed their mother’s full attention following the death of their father, Brandon Blackstock, in August 2025. Clarkson and Blackstock had divorced in 2022 after a protracted legal battle during which he was already fighting skin cancer.
“Prioritizing my children felt necessary and right for this next chapter of [our] lives,” she explained.

Her maternal focus has remained unwavering through the family’s grief. A source close to the singer said in August that “Kelly has done everything she can to be there for River and Remy as they’ve navigated that loss.” The insider added that her efforts centered on “making sure they feel loved, supported and as stable as possible while giving them the space to grieve in their own way.”

The final broadcast on Sept. 1 brought that chapter to a close with her children by her side. During the emotional sign-off, Clarkson spoke directly about how motherhood had shaped both her entry into and exit from daytime television.

“My kiddos have always come first, they’re a big reason I did this show, just [for] the stability, the schedule,” she said. “They’re also a big reason it’s time to say goodbye. I’m such a proud mama. They’re the greatest kiddos in the world.”

The end of her talk show has not meant a retreat from television entirely. In May, Clarkson revealed she would rejoin “The Voice” for its milestone thirtieth season. The coaching panel reunited her with Adam Levine alongside newcomers Queen Latifah and Riley Green when the season launched Sept. 21.

The singer’s Instagram post following the Emmy ceremony offered no hints about future projects beyond her coaching duties, keeping the focus squarely on the team’s collective achievement and the seven-season legacy they built together.
Clarkson’s next appearance on “The Voice” will come as the NBC competition continues its live shows.
