Spend The Night With 6 Million Dead Bodies In Paris Catacombs This Halloween

This Halloween, how about spending the night with 6 million dead bodies? Well, if that sounds appealing you’re in luck, because Airbnb is hosting a contest to give two brave people the opportunity to spend Halloween night in the catacombs of Paris.

The night includes a dinner, a real bed, and even a private concert.  “Before bedtime, a storyteller will have you spellbound with fascinating tales from the catacombs, guaranteed to produce nightmares,” Airbnb’s description reads.

“Finally, enjoy dawn with the dead, as you become the only living person ever to wake up in the Paris catacombs.”

If you fancy sleeping with the dead instead of trick or treating, you should submit a 100 word essay to Airbnb by October 20th explaining why you want to sleep with the remains.

The stay includes breakfast and costs of the return trip to Paris will be covered for winners from outside France.

Unfortunately, if you’re under 18 or a resident of Crimea, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, or Syria, you can’t apply.

Critics say the deal between Airbnb and the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, is “desecrating the catacombs”. Airbnb is reported to have paid around €300,000 (£220,000) for the privilege of hosting the event.
