Bring The Argentinian Grasslands Indoors With These Stunning Handmade Rugs

Argentinian artist Alexandra Kehayoglou hand-crafts gorgeous rugs that bring the outside in — the lush green blankets and tapestries let the owner snuggle up to the outside world, inside.

Alexandra makes the rugs from discarded thread scraps that she collects from her family’s carpet factory in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

And the result of months spent weaving is absolutely incredible.

She uses earthy tones and textured fabrics to create a mossy carpet that brings lush meadows to your cozy living room.

The 3D artworks are inspired by Argentinian forests and rolling grasslands, into which Alexandra weaves life-like south American flora and fauna.

She even creates rocks and pools to create an indoor, fluffy Zen garden.

We feel relaxed just looking at them.

Who needs a couch when you can snuggle up on these squishy carpets?

Alexandra’s work uses hand-tufting techniques to craft every lsat blade of ‘grass’.

You can even adorn a regular chair with a super-snug Argentinian desert.
