Biker Gains New “Co-Pilot” After Rescuing Dog Beaten And Abandoned By Roadside

A biker who saw a dog brutally beaten and thrown away by a truck driver rescued the terrified puppy and now has a new furry friend and “co-pilot”.

Brandon Turnbow was riding his Harley Davidson on his way to meet his dad when he saw a truck driver beating a little white and tan terrier mix pup.

He described how the man, “knocks this little white dog up into the air and onto his back in the ditch,” before driving away.

Brandan immediately wheeled around to help the abandoned puppy. It was cowering and shivering by the roadside, so Brandon approached slowly, praying it wouldn’t dart into the traffic.

Brandon was able to soothe the pup, who just lay in his arms shaking, wrap the dog in his jacket, and carry it to his motorcycle.

Brandon started his bike to get the dog used to the vibration and then started back on his journey, checking on the pup.

He got the little dog home safely and decided to name him Mr Davidson (because he already has a dog named Harley, naturally).

Brandon posted Mr Davidson’s story online and the biker’s heartwarming tale has since been shared nearly 100,00 times.

And he’s been posting adorable updates, like this video, as Mr Davidson happily settles into his new forever home.

Brandon later wrote, “I honestly believe that a higher power was guiding the path for us all that day. Mainly Mr Davidson. He is now a part of our family and we love him.”

“He is an amazing little dog and he shows me love every day. He will actually howl like an old hound dog when I leave for work every day. Makes me smile.”

Thanks to Brandon, Mr Davidson (who turned out to be 10 years old — that’s 70 in human years!) got another chance at a happy life. We hope they’re very happy together.
