Bear, Lion, And Tiger Have Been Best Friends For 15 Years After Traumatic Past

They say two’s friendship and three’s a crowd, but one unlikely animal trio of a black bear, a tiger and a lion have forged a furry friendship for life.

American black bear Baloo, African lion Leo and Shere Khan the Bengal tiger were rescued together as cubs from the basement of a drug den in Atlanta, US.

The horrific conditions they were found in seems to have created a bond between the animals that continues to this day.

Baloo had to have surgery to remove an ingrown harness that hadn’t been removed as he’d gotten bigger.

But today, living in Noah’s Ark animal sanctuary in Georgia, the animals spend every moment together and are happier than ever.

One employee of the sanctuary said, “They were rescued together as cubs and they were just very bonded. They came from a really sad situation.”

“They were hurt, they were unhealthy, and that hard time really made them just come together and become a family.”

“And we never separated them — as you can see, they still live together, they play together and they love each other.”

The trio have even become affectionately known as the BLT.

As they’re unfit to be released into the wild, the gang have now spent an incredible 15 years together since being rescued in 2001.

And they’re the happiest roommates we know.
