Eric Vekeman was furious when his local council in Belgium refused to give him a permit to install a garage door.
Now a retiree, Eric wanted to convert his grocery store into a garage, but the council refused his planning request in order to “protect the townscape”.
Not one for taking ‘no’ for an answer, he came up with a pretty ingenious solution.
Although the garage ‘door’ seems difficult to open and close, the entire process takes less than two minutes.
Still, Eric’s next project is to automate the whole process.
We have a feeling this rebel will make it happen very soon.
