Whether you love or loathe him, it’s hard to argue that Adam Sandler isn’t a legend in his own right.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Netflix subscribers had spent two billion hours watching his films since 2015.
Back in 2020, the 58-year-old star inked a staggering $250 million deal (around £187 million) with the streaming service.
This deal has seen him produce and star in eight Netflix projects, including the stand-up special ‘100% Fresh’ and the comedy film ‘You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,’ which features his wife Jackie and their two daughters Sadie and Sunny.
Thanks to this lucrative deal, Sandler has become Hollywood’s highest-paid actor.
In March, it was revealed that his four film projects released in 2023 earned him an annual salary of $73 million (£57 million).
It’s nice to know that despite his wealth, Sandler is quite generous with his money.
This is especially true when it comes to his ‘Grown Ups’ co-stars.

Sandler splurged on extravagant gifts for David Spade, Kevin James, Chris Rock, and Rob Schneider.
The 2010 comedy ‘Grown Ups’ reportedly grossed over $270 million at the box office, and despite its goofy nature, it has a devoted fanbase that continues to defend it.
Critics, however, were less kind, with the film scoring just 11 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
But this likely didn’t bother the cast, especially since Sandler, who co-wrote and produced the movie, reportedly gifted each of his co-stars a Maserati, estimated to be worth about $200,000 (or roughly £130,000 at the time).
The luxurious cars were a complete surprise, with Sandler giving no prior notice of his grand gesture.
Spade remembered: “He gave us all a Maserati.
“Chris Rock called me and he goes, ‘Will you look in your driveway?’, and I go, ‘No,’ and he goes, ‘Got out front and call me.’
“So I go out front and they’re putting a car in my driveway, and I go, ‘What’s happening?’, and they go, ‘Adam Sandler.’
“I go, ‘Oh, is this his car, I’m supposed to watch it?'”
He continued: “I call Rock and I go, ‘I’m keeping Adam’s car here for some reason,’ and he goes, ‘No that’s for you, we all got one’.”
While you’d think the stars would be ecstatic about receiving such luxurious cars, Spade admitted in a 2010 interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno that he was too ’embarrassed’ to actually drive it.
Meanwhile, Rock humorously suggested that the gift might come with a catch.
Talking to Howard Stern, he jokingly said: “I went outside the other day and I had a new Maserati in the driveway. Now I think that I’m Adam Sandler’s b****.”
