Adele Says She’ll Study for an English Literature Degree After Las Vegas Shows

Adele, a Grammy-winning British singer, wants to study English Literature when her impending residency in Las Vegas is over.

“After Vegas, I want to pursue a degree in English Literature,” she stated during a Q&A session with fans in Los Angeles on Monday.

“If I hadn’t made it singing, I think I would be an English Lit teacher.”

Beginning next month, the 34-year-old singer will perform a belated series of gigs at the Caesars Palace hotel.

“I definitely think I use my passion for English lit in what I do. I wish I’d gone to university and had that experience, but I will do it online with a tutor.”

She continued: “That’s my plan for 2025, just to get the qualification”.
“She left in year eight but she got me really into literature, I’ve always been obsessed with English and obviously now I write lyrics,” Adele explained.

“She was so cool, so engaging, and she really made us care, and we knew that she cared about us and stuff like that.”

When it was discovered that Ms McDonald was in the audience, the artist was taken aback, and the instructor stepped up to join the singer on stage.

“You’re amazing darling, I am so proud of you,” she told Adele, bringing her to tears, so much so that she had to get her make-up fixed before carrying on with the show.

Adele attended the Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology before launching her career as a pop star.

After postponing her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency earlier this year, much to the chagrin of her fans, owing to delivery delays and Covid, Adele – who now resides in Los Angeles and dislikes travelling – is now going to appear in Sin City beginning next month.

Ahead of the gigs, the singer unveiled a new music video for her (latest) soulful break-up song, I Drink Wine, off her fourth studio album, which is set to be the best-selling album of 2021.

In the video, she’s floating down a river in a rubber ring, holding a glass of wine in one hand and an almost-empty wine bottle in the other.

The celebrity, dressed in a sparkling gold gown, can be seen rolling her eyes at a happy-looking pair before chucking the now-empty wine bottle into the river.

She performed the song at the Brit Awards in February, when she won album of the year for 30 and single of the year for another song, Easy On Me.

Adele has four number one albums to her credit: 19, 21, 25, and 30.

And if all goes well with her studies, we could see a sequel dubbed 2.1… or perhaps 1st.
