Adele has zero patience for negativity, especially during her explosive comeback on the music scene.
With a triumphant return, the ‘Hello’ powerhouse resumed her spotlight, especially noticeable during her recent Las Vegas residency performance.
The event coincidentally kicked off on the first day of Pride Month, a celebration Adele passionately supports. However, she was momentarily thrown off by an audience interaction she misinterpreted.
In a moment captured by a fan, Adele confronted what she thought was a disparaging remark about Pride. “Did you come to my f**king show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you f**king stupid?” she challenged.
The audience erupted in support, backing Adele’s fiery defense of Pride at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Not one to mince words, the ‘Skyfall’ vocalist added, “Don’t be so f**king ridiculous. If you’ve got nothing nice to say, shut up. All right?”
The online community rallied around the viral clip, with many commenting on Adele’s no-nonsense approach to disrespect. One fan wrote: “Imagine ADELE saying this to you oh i would just disappear.”
Yet, it turned out there was a misunderstanding. Another video revealed that the actual shout from the crowd was ‘work sucks’, referring to a comment Adele made about her schedule.
Adele’s readiness to address issues head-on was evident last year when she called out a security guard for hassling an audience member.
“Can you stop a minute…. what is going on with that young fan over there,” the Grammy winner demanded, spotlighting the troubled fan.
She continued, addressing the disturbance: “He’s been bothered so much since I came on for standing up…what’s going on with him?”
The confusion persisted as Adele repeatedly gestured towards the audience, imploring, “What are you doing? Why are you bothering him? Can you leave him alone please,” ensuring the fan could finally enjoy the show without further disruption.
Having resolved the matter, Adele reassured the fan, “They won’t bother you again, my darling… you enjoy the show.”
Quickly moving past the incident, she apologized, “Sorry guys he’s been bothered the whole show by security and other people sitting behind him…” and returned her focus to her performance.
