An incident on the set of an adult film almost led to tragedy when famed porn star Angela White suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. Angela White, a celebrated Australian adult entertainer and director, has experienced a lot in her 21-year career, including induction into the AVN (Adult Video News) Hall of Fame and winning the title of Female Performer of the Year three times. Despite her accomplishments, a shoot with fellow porn star Keiran Lee almost ended in disaster.
The alarming incident unfolded during White’s first scene with Lee. “We were shooting content and we were going at it for like over an hour,” Lee recounted on the podcast Pillow Talk. After wrapping up the shoot, Lee went home, unaware of the impending crisis. “I’m like ‘See you sweetheart, lovely day’, I’ve gone home then found out two days later she’s gone back home to Australia,” he explained.
Back in Australia, White’s condition worsened, leading her to seek medical attention. “She said her stomach’s hurting and had to go see a doctor – apparently her appendix burst in the scene, which could have killed her,” Lee shared. Fortunately, White’s timely medical intervention prevented a fatal outcome, but the scare was a stark reminder of the risks associated with their work.
Despite the harrowing experience, White and Lee have continued to collaborate on multiple projects. Lee also shared a painful mishap from another shoot with White, where he experienced the “most painful” moment of his career when she accidentally bit down on his testicle due to lockjaw.
Over the years, White has used her platform to discuss various aspects of sexuality and the adult entertainment industry. She emphasizes the importance of communication in achieving good sexual experiences. “Too many men focus on the size of their d**k and not actually the person in front of them,” White advised, advocating for open dialogue about preferences and desires.
White has also been outspoken about the double standards that men and women face in the porn industry. On The Hook Up podcast, she discussed how men are often praised while women are criticized for their career choice in adult entertainment. “A man going into the industry was ‘considered a champion’ while women were ‘slut-shamed’ for choosing the same career,” White explained.
Despite criticism from some quarters, including former porn star Lana Rhoades, who has called for adult films to be banned, White remains a staunch defender of the industry. She finds working in adult entertainment “very empowering” and continues to advocate for the positive aspects of expressing and exploring sexuality in a professional setting.
