Amazon Alexa Devices Are Laughing Spontaneously And We’re Sure This Is The Start Of A Robot Uprising

Owners of Amazon Echo devices with the voice-enabled assistant, Alexa, are noticing some strange happenings.

One person on Twitter shared that as he was about to fall asleep, he heard “a very loud and creepy laugh” from his Echo Dot.

Another person shared that Alexa started laughing while he was having a work conversation, and that it was, again, “really creepy.”

It’s already creepy enough to think that our devices could be listening in on all our conversations. But now they’re laughing at us??

Others also made similar posts on Reddit.

One person talked about how Alexa wouldn’t respond after being asked to turn off the lights in their home. After the third time, Alexa did “an evil laugh.”

This other person shared that while using the buttons on their Echo, Alexa laughed as if “she was being tickled.”

Um… leave your house this instant please?!

Is anyone else too scared to make any noises around Alexa now or is it just us?
